WT Feb. 1st 1999 Item   G'day all, I received this item just recently & would like ask anyone reading if they have any comments on it.     The Feb. 1st WT page 19 paragraph 22 says "As the number of the spirit anointed remnant on earth has decreased, mature brothers of the great crowd have been given spiritual oversight of almost all the congregations worldwide. And as the last aged anointed witnesses finish their earthly course, princely sar-im' of the other sheep will have been well trained to carry out administrative duties as the chieftain class on earth. Ezekiel 44:3 ,Isaiah 32:1"   The strange thing is that in all the WT this is only place where the "chieftain class is mentioned. No explanation is given as to how they come to that conclusion.   Does anyone have an idea what the GB is up to again??? Who will provide "spiritual food" when the members of the FDS class have all kicked the bucket???   I suggest we all put our sun glasses on as there will be a very big flash of light in Brooklyn!!   BTW the whole article is about trying to convince the rank and file that the heavenly call ended in 1935.I suppose that they have to give a reason why the number of anointed has risen since 1995.... They even cite the  words of the Great Wizard of Brooklyn: Prophet F. Franz the 1st who once said in 1970 " NO no more additions; That call ended back then in 1931-35!" He then goes on to say that any new ones are simply replacements.....   But in paragraph 19 they cite the 1939 yearbook which said "the anointed followers of Christ Jesus now on earth are few in number and never will their number be greater..."   I suppose this is another of the GB "expectations" which did not occur as the number of anointed seems to be on a roller coaster.   Any comments???   Back to JW Index page    ************************* Email the Author of these pages
