“Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law” (Psalm 119:18) When Spirit of Truth Comes In To Your Life He Will Lead You to ALL the Truth.” (John 16: 13)
The original is in the Black text & refuted material is in "UPPER" Case &
Some notes and comments on various Biblical texts some have used to promote the doctrine of the Trinity. The main approach that will be used to arrive at a proper balanced view of these texts is based on the FACT that the Bible interprets itself.
AS THE ABOVE STATEMENT SAYS = WE WILL LITERALLY
BE DOING EXACTLY THAT - THERE WILL BE SO MUCH BIBLE CITED SO THAT YOU CAN
GET THE BIG PICTURE OF WHAT GOD'S
WORD IS REALLY SAYING.
Titus 1:3
"Whereas in his own due times he made his word manifest in the preaching with which I was entrusted, under command of our Savior, God."
AS IT IS IN NIV: "AND AT HIS APPOINTED SEASON HE BROUGHT HIS WORD TO LIGHT THROUGH THE PREACHING ENTRUSTED TO ME BY THE COMMAND OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR,"See verse 10 also.
This verse is similar to the verse in Isaiah 43:11 which we delved into extensively.
Some like to point to the very next verse of Titus 1 which reads: "to Titus, a genuine child according to a faith shared in common: May there be undeserved kindness and peace from God [the] Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour."
Trinitarians then draw the conclusion that because God is called Savior, and then Jesus is called Savior, thus Jesus is Jehovah.
BIBLE TELLS US THAT JESUS IS SAVIOUR & THAT HE IS CALLED GOD SO WHY DISAGREE WITH GODS WORD? UNLESS VERSE 10 APPLIES TO US!!
Is this the case? Not at all for again, this verse simply shows us that Jehovah God is the author of salvation, where as Jesus Christ is the instrument or means by which Jehovah caused his plan for salvation to be carried out. How can we make such a bold statement? By simply going to Jude's words at Jude 25 which reads: "to [the] only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might and authority for all past eternity and now and into all eternity. Amen."
FIRST OF ALL WE ARE DISCUSSING TITUS & NOT JUDE - TIPTOES IS SELF EXPLANATORY - WHY DON'T WE GO TO JOHN 1:3?? WOULD IT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT IT DOES NOT SUPPORT OUR THEORY??
JUDE PASSAGE CONFIRMS TWO PERSONS - GOD THE FATHER & GOD THE SON.
QUESTION - EVERY TIME YOU READ A BOOK DO YOU NEED THE WORDS REPEATEDTO GET THE MESSAGE THAT THE AUTHOR IS TRYING TO CONVEY? NO YOU DON'T DO YOU?? YOU CAN MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND BY GETTING "ALL" THE FACTS FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE BOOK & THEN FORM YOUR CONCLUSION.
Thus we see plainly that Jesus Christ is the one through whom, Jehovah God, our only Savior and author of the plan of salvation, redeems faithful mankind, and restores the earth to a glorious paradise! (Psalms 37:29) But please see further comments on similar scriptures dealing with Jehovah and Jesus being called Savior by perusing the comments at the Isaiah 43:11 heading.
PLEASE READ MALACHI 3:1 & ZAC 12:10 IN NIV - KJV ETC. READ ALSO ISAIAH 42:5- JOHN 17: 11-12 Etc. IT TELLS US THAT JEHOVAH IS THE ONE WHO CREATED HEAVENS & EARTH & EVERYTHING IN IT - YET JOHN 1:3 TELLS US THAT IT IS JESUS WHO CREATED THE HEAVENS & EARTH & EVERYTHING IN IT. READ ALSO PHILIPPINES 2:6
Titus 2:13
"While we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of [the] Savior of us, Christ Jesus."
AS IT IS IN NIV: FROM VERSE 11:
"FOR THE GRACE OF GOD THAT BRINGS SALVATION HAS APPEARED TO ALL MEN
12 IT TEACHES US TO SAY "NO" TO UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY PASSION, AND TO LIVE SELF CONTROLLED, UPRIGHT AND GODLY LIVES IN THIS PRESENT AGE,
13 WHILE WE WAIT FOR THE BLESSED HOPE - THE GLORIOUS APPEARING OF OUR GREAT GOD & SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIS
14 WHOGAVE HIMSELF FOR US TO REDEEM US FROM ALL WICKEDNESS AND TO PURIFY FOR HIMSELF A PEOPLE THAT ARE HIS VERY OWN, EAGER TO DO WHAT IS GOOD.
15 THESE, THEN, ARE THE THINGS YOU SHOULD DO TEACH. ENCOURAGE AND REBUKE WITH ALL AUTHORITY. DO NOT LET ANYONE DESPISE YOU."
DO YOU NOTICE ANYTHING DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS "WHOLE" PASSAGE?
WHO APPEARED?? WHO GRACE HIMSELF FOR US?? THE ANSWER IS GODIN BOTH CASE. YET IT WASJESUS WHO CAME DOWN FORM HIS HEAVENLY THRONE TO DO THIS..
Here we see the usage of the term "of the great God and [the] Savior of us, Jesus Christ." Some Feel that this proves beyond any shadow of any doubt, that Jesus is indeed Jehovah. Is this the case? {YES IT DOES}
We will look at this Scripture from a somewhat different view point from the way we have been discussing Scripture's on this page, up to this point. We shall do so, because this Scripture requires a bit of a deeper study into grammatical construction of Greek sentences. However, we will also use the Bible as the final court of arbitration in determining its proper meaning.
BECAUSE OF STATEMENTS LIKE THIS-I ALWAYS CITE THE ENTIRE PASSAGE OR OTHER VERSE SO THAT YOU CAN SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE. THERE IS NO NEED FOR ANY OTHER READING INTO GRAMMAR AS THAT WAS DONE PROPERLY IN THE FIRST PLACE. ALL THAT WE HAVE TO DO IS READ THE WHOLE PASSAGE IN "ALL" OCCASIONS.
We will also discuss 2 Peter 1:1 where we read: "Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained a faith, held in equal privilege with ours, by the righteousness of our God and [the] Savior Jesus Christ."
AS IT IS IN NIV: 1 - SIMON PETER, A SERVANT AND APOSTLE OF JESUS CHRIST, TO THOSE WHO THROUGH THERIGHTEOUSNESS OF OUR GOD & SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST HAVE RECEIVED A FAITH AS PRECIOUS AS OURS -
2 GRACE AND PEACE BE YOURS INN ABUNDANCE THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD AND OF JESUS OUR LORD.
3- HIS DIVINE POWER HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED FOR LIFE AND GODLINESS THROUGH OUR KNOWLEDGE OF HIM WHO CALLED US BY HIS GLORY & GOODNESS
4 THROUGH THESE HE HAS GIVEN US HIS VERY GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES, SO THAT THROUGH THEM "YOU"MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE DIVINE NATURE AND ESCAPE THE CORRUPTION IN HE WORLD CAUSED BY THE EVIL DESIRES.
11AND YOU WILL RECEIVE A RICH WELCOME INTO THEETERNAL KINGDOM OF "OUR" LORD & SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST" please read verses 20 & 21.
In 2 Peter 2:1 we read "BUT THERE WERE ALSO FALSE PROPHETS AMONG THE PEOPLE, JUST AS THERE WILL BE FALSE TEACHERS AMONG YOU. THEY WILL SECRETLY INTRODUCE DESTRUCTIVE HERESIES, EVEN DENYING THE SOVEREIGN LORD WHO BOUGHT THEM - BRINGING SWIFT DESTRUCTION UPON THEM SELVES.
WOULDN'T YOU SAY THAT WHEN WE READ THE WHOLE PASSAGE WE GET THE TRUE MEANING OF WHAT THE APOSTLE IS TELLING US? IT IS JESUS' KINGDOM THAT WE WILL END UP AS HE IS OUR GOD & SAVIOUR. PLEASE RE READ THE ABOVE PASSAGE AGAIN.
THAT’S WHY IT SO IMPORTANT TO READ THE WHOLE PASSAGE. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS STRONGLY ENOUGH.
Trinitarians seem to think that both Titus 2:13 and 2 Peter 1:1, provide them with a pillar in support of their belief that Jesus is "God." In this case, "the great God." [ WE JUST USE THE WHOLE BIBLE & YES - THESE 2 PASSAGES DO SAY THAT JESUS IS GOD!] It is often argued by supporters of the Trinity, that the Greek grammatical construction of this passage demands that Jesus be considered the "the great God and Savior." Is this in fact the case?
IF IT ISN’T THEN JESUS DIED IN VAIN FOR US ON THE CROSS!!
The construction of this passage in the original Greek is "article-noun-kai-noun." "Kai" is the Greek conjunction for (among other things) "and." Because the article (tou: of the) only preceded the first of the two nouns ("God" and "Savior") joined by kai, some scholars have come to conclude that this passage calls Jesus "the great God." This is based on what one heologian named Granville Sharp labeled as a so-called "rule." The nouns ("God" and "Savior") and the grammatical construction is the same in 2 Peter 1:1. So, it is argued that Peter also calls Jesus "God."
However, the NWT (New World Translation) and other translations (such as King James Version and J. B. Phillips) translate both of these passages (Titus 2:13 and 2 Peter 1:1) as if two persons (God the Father and Jesus Christ) are in view. Thus, the NWT is not alone in its rendering of these passages.
SINCE THE AUTHOR IS INSISTENT ON GREEK - LETS SEE WHAT THEIR OWN GREEK TEXT SAYS - I WILL WRITE THE WORDS AS THEY APPEAR IN KIT: TITUS 2:13
"AWAITING - THE HAPPY - HOPE - AND - MANIFESTATION - OF THE - GLORY - OF THE - GREAT - GOD - AND - OF SAVIOUR - OF US - OF CHRIST - JESUS
THE PREPOSITION "OF" IS INSERTED TO CHANGE THE MEANING OF THE PASSAGE - ALL THAT WE HAVE TO DO IS GO TO TIPTOES 1:1 where the preposition OF is left out. HMMMM !!
Take out the insertions & you get the different meaning don’t you?? Notice each of the translations below at these particular verses: The King James Version reads at Titus 2:13: "....and the glorious appearing of the Great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ."
VERSE 14 IN KJV GOES ON TO SAY - WHO GAVE HIMSELF FOR US, THAT HE MIGHT REDEEM US FROM ALL INIQUITY, AND PURIFY UNTO HIMSELF A PECULIAR PEOPLE, ZEALOUS OF GOOD WORKS.
IN VERSE 10b KJV WE READ: "THAT THEY MAY ADORN THE DOCTRINE OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR IN ALL THINGS. -11- FOR THE GRACE OF GOD THAT BRINGETH BOTH SALVATION HAD APPEARED TO ALL MEN."
SEE WHAT THE KJV SAYS ABOUT JESUS - IN THE SURROUNDING VERSES?? HE IS GREAT GOD!!
The King James Version at 2 Peter 1:1 reads: "....the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ"
THIS MEANS "ONE" PERSON - JESUS!!
Phillips Modern English Version reads at Titus 2:13: "....of the great God and of Christ Jesus our savior."
TAKE OUT THE PREPOSITION "OF" THAT IS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL GREEK & WHAT DO YOU HAVE??
Phillips Modern English Version at 2 Peter 1:1 reads: "...in the righteousness of our God, and saviour Jesus Christ."
MEANS ONE PERSON!!
The Bible James Moffatt at Titus 2:13 reads: "...of the great God and of our Saviour Christ Jesus."
TAKE OUT THE "OF" WHICH IS NOT IN ORIGINAL!!
American Standard Version at Titus 2:13 reads: "....of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ."
SEE WHAT I MEAN - ALL GOOD BIBLES LEAVE OUT THE PREPOSITION "OF" & YOU GET ONE PERSON IN THE STATEMENT.
American Standard Version at 2 Peter 1:1 reads: "....in the righteousness
of our God and the Saviour Jesus Christ."
ONE PERSON!!
So here we see evidence of others that like the NWT, recognize the ability to translate these verses as two distinct individuals.
WITHOUT THE "OF" NWT STATES THE SAME THING AS ALL THE OTHERS. REVELATION 22 - WARNS US ABOUT ADDING TO GOD’S WORD. SO LEST LEAVE IT OUT & WE WILL NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.
Notice as well, other translations, that add footnotes to the bottom of Titus 2:13 for an alternate way to translate the verse. We look at the following:
Jerusalem Bible footnote: Or "our great God and our saviour, Christ Jesus."
THERE IS NO "SECOND" OUR IN THE ORIGINAL GREEK - ADDING TO !!
Revised Standard Version footnote reads: Or "of the great God and our Savior." MEANS "ONE " PERSON
New English Bible footnote reads: Or "of the great God and our Saviour...." SEE LAST COMMENT!!
Another way we can arrive at a proper view of this scripture is to do what we have done with all the scriptures in question thus far, and that is, to let the Bible interpret itself. So then, let's look at other places in the Bible where both Jesus and God are mentioned in the same verse to see if there is a distinction between the two.
WHEN WE APPLY 2 TIMOTHY 3:16 = THEN WE CROSS REFERENCE TO THE "IDENTICAL" PASSAGES & NOT ALL OVER THE PLACE & MAKE RULES AS WE GO ALONG.
ALL PASSAGES SO FAR THAT WE HAVE SEE SPEAK FOR THEM SELVES. THERE IS NO NEED TO GO ELSE WHERE.
Ephesians 5:5 reads: "For YOU know this, recognizing it for yourselves, that no fornicator or unclean person or greedy person which means being an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and of God."
FIRST OF - THIS EPHESIANS PASSAGE HAS "NOTHING" TO DO WITH TIPTOES PASSAGE - THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNRELATED. BUT LETS LOOK HOW THE PASSAGE READS IN NIV:
"FOR THIS YOU CAN BE SURE: NO
IMMORAL, IMPURE OR GREEDY PERSON - SUCH A MAN IS AN IDOLATER - HAS NO
INHERITANCE IN THE KINGDOM
OF CHRIST AND OF GOD.
6
LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU WITH EMPTY WORDS, FOR BECAUSE OF SUCH THINGS GOD’S
WRATH COMES ON THOSE WHO
ARE DISOBEDIENT.
7- THEREFORE DO NOT BE PARTNERS WITH THEM."
NOTE WHO WE SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM!! THIS PASSAGE TALKS ABOUT "ONE" KINGDOM = FATHERS & SONS HEAVENLY REALMS.
2 Thessalonians 1:12 reads: "in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in YOU, and YOU in union with him, in accord with the undeserved kindness of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ."
WE HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN -LETS SEE HOW THIS PASSAGE IS RENDERED IN NIV & ALSO IF YOU HAVE THE NWT "KIT" YOU WILL NOTE THAT THE WORDS "UNION WITH" ARE NOT IN ORIGINAL GREEK TEXT. FROM VERSE 11 WE READ:
"WITH THIS IN MIND, WE CONSTANTLY PRAY FOR YOU, THAT OUR GOD MAY COUNT YOU WORTHY OF HIS CALLING, AND THAT BY HIS POWER HE MAY FULFIL EVERY ACT PROMOTED BY YOUR FAITH.
-12 WE PRAY THIS SO THAT THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS MAY BE GLORIFIED, AND YOU IN HIM, ACCORDING TO THE GRACE OF OUR GOD & THE LORD JESUS CHRIST."
NOTE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE MEANING. AGAIN THIS PASSAGE TALKS ABOUT THE SAME SUBJECT - & TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. I WONDER WHY GB TRANSLATING COMMITTEE DIDN’T RENDER THE WORD "KURIOS" AS JEHOVAH THIS TIME - HMMMM!!!
1 Timothy 5:21 reads: "I solemnly charge you before God and Christ Jesus and the chosen angels to keep these things without pre judgement, doing nothing according to a biased leaning."
1 Timothy 6:13 reads: "In the sight of God, who preserves all things alive, and of Christ Jesus, who as a witness made the fine public declaration before Pontius Pilate, I give you orders."
AGAIN = THESE PASSAGES HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TITUS PASSAGE. THEY SHOW US THAT THERE ARE 2 PERSONS THAT WE SHOULD CONCENTRATE ON!!
2 Corinthians 13:14: "The undeserved kindness of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the sharing in the holy spirit be with all of YOU."
GOOD PASSAGE = NOTE 3PERSONS HERE - JESUS - FATHER & HOLY SPIRIT!! IT GOES LIKE THIS IN NIV: "
"MAY THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST & LOVE OF GOD, AND THE THE BE WITH YOU ALL."
IS HOLY SPIRIT FELLOW SHIPPING WITH YOU??
PLEASE NOTE THAT THEY ARE ALL GIVEN EQUAL STATUS !!
Now, even though not all the above are strict examples of the so called "rule" of Sharp, we plainly see that when both Jesus and God are spoken of in other locations of text, they are always mentioned as separate individuals. [even in 2 Cor.13:14 where we read about the kindness of Jesus and the love of God! Please see additional comments on this verse by going here]
WE AGREE - THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS & THEN "ADD" THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT & YOU HAVE 3 PERSONS - HEY SO SIMPLE - YET SOME DO NOT WISH TO BELIEVE WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS!! WHAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE DISAPPOINTING IS THIS.
SOME PEOPLE WILL WRITE IT & THEN DENY THEIR OWN WRITING. SO SAD - BUT THAT IS LIFE & THAT’S HOW DEVIL DECEIVES US & BLINDS OUR EYES SO THAT WE CAN NOT SEE WHAT WE WRITE.
Also, consider what the following scholars have to say regarding these two scriptures. (Titus 2:13 & 2 Peter 1:1)
"But here [2 Peter 1:1], as there [Titus 2:13], considerations interpose, which seem to remove the strict grammatical [one-person rendering] out of the range of probable meaning."—Henry Alford, The Greek New Testament, vol. 3, Galatians-Philemon, page 390
"[In 2 Peter 1:1 Saviour Jesus Christ] may be taken by itself and separated from the preceding [the preceding in this case is the word ‘God’]."—F. Blass and A. Debrunner, A Greek Grammar of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature, trans. R. W. Funk, page 145
"The grammatical argument—‘the identity of reference of two substantives when under the vinculum of a common article’—is too slender to bear much weight."—W. Robertson Nicoll, The Expositor’s Greek Testament, vol. 4, page 195 "Sometimes the use of but one article with more than one noun seems even to suppose and express the divinity of Christ….Tit 2,13….2 Pet 1,1….One must however say that such examples seem to suggest the divinity of Christ, and not that they are proofs of it, since the unity of article would be sufficiently accounted for by any conjunction, in the writer’s mind, of the notions xpressed."—Maximilian Zerwick, Biblical Greek Illustrated By Examples, 1990 edition, section 185. [emphasis mine]
Many other scholars with impeccable credentials in New Testament Greek could be cited, all of whom would similarly point out that the argument, based on the use or non-use of the Greek article (known as Sharp’s rule), is not as decisive as Trinitarians would like us to think.
WE CAN DO MANY THINGS THAT PLEASES US - BUT DOES THAT MAKE IT RIGHT?? I MAY CHOOSE TO SPEED IN MY CAR - BUT DOES THAT MAKE IT LEGAL?? THERE ARE MANY WHO DENY JESUS HIS DEITY - DOES THAT MAKE THEM RIGHT??
THE ANSWER IS NO!! 2 TIMOTHY 2:11- 13 TELLS US THAT WE CAN DENY JESUS ALL WE WANT - BUT HE WILL "NOT" DENY HIMSELF. THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!
I CAN SUGGEST TO THE POLICE MAN WHO CAUGHT ME SPEEDING THAT HE IS WRONG - BUT WHERE WILL THAT GET ME?? NO WHERE!! I MAY SUGGEST TO THE JUDGE THAT IT ISN’T ME THAT ROBBED THE SHOP - THE PERSON THAT THEY ARE SEEING IN THE VIDEO COULDN'T BE ME AS I AM THERE IN THE COURT ROOM WITH THEM - SO HOW COULD I BE IN THE VIDEO SHOT ALSO. WE CAN DELUDE OUR SELVES ALL THAT WE WANT. But it will not get us anywhere
BUT THE "TRUTH"
OF
THE MATTER IS - THAT JESUS WILL NOT DENY
HIMSELF. YOU CAN DENY HIM ALL THAT YOU
WANT & WHERE WILL THAT GET YOU??
NOT IN HIS KINGDOM THAT IS FOR SURE -
WHO DO YOU CHOOSE - JESUS OR SOME DENIER OF CHRIST?? I CHOOSE JESUS AS MY GOD & SAVIOUR.
But all this is quite beside the point. You see even if we let Titus
2:13 and 2 Peter 1:1 call Jesus
THEOS. Bible students don't have a problem with that. {THEN
WHY DO SOME DENY JESUS HIS DEITY?} For as the
Scripture's reveal, that in whatever sense the Bible writers
called Jesus THEOS or ELOHIM, (as angels were properly called
Psalms 8:5), they did so with the understanding that Jesus has One
who is God to him. (Micah 5:4; Ephesians 1:3, 17) Jesus himself
acknowledged this fact several times. ( John 20:17;
Revelation 3:12) So, as we have determined from our discussions on
Isaiah 43:10, [UP TO THIS POINT
JESUS ACKNOWLEDGED HIS FATHER AS HE SHOULD & AS WE SHOULD ACKNOWLEDGE
OUR PARENTS AS HUMANS & OUR PARENTS - NO MORE NO LESS] and
John 1:1, Jesus can rightfully be called THEOS in a limited
or qualified sense, like the others of the angelic
host. (compare Psalm 8:5 and 2 Corinthians 4:4) Jesus is an
"only-begotten God" (NASB), (John 1:18) but he is NOT Almighty
God, for One is, again, God to him. (see comments on Isaiah
9:6)
IF WE ARE TO TAKE THIS VIEW - THEN WE MAY AS WELL THROW THE BIBLE OUT THE DOOR & MAKE OUR OWN RULES OF BELIEF.
IN JOHN 1:3 IT SAYS THAT JESUS CREATED EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN & EARTH & EVERYTHING IN IT. IN JEREMIAH 10:11
WE READ THAT ‘gods,’ who DID NOT CREATE THE HEAVENS & EARTH, WILL PERISH FROM THE EARTH & FROM UNDER THE HEAVENS.
12- BUT "GOD" MADE THE EARTH BY HIS POWER; HE FOUNDED THE WORLD BY HIS WISDOM AND STRETCHED OUT THE HEAVENS BY HIS UNDERSTANDING."
NOW THINK ABOUT IT - WHAT DOES THAT MAKE JESUS?? AS JOHN TELLS US IT WAS JESUS WHO DID, WHAT JEREMIAH IS TALKING ABOUT.
JESUS IS THE TRUE GOD - HE IS THE ALPHA & OMEGA - THE BEGINNING & THE END & THE FIRST & THE LAST -HE DOES NOT RECOGNIZE ANY OTHER GOD - SO WHO ARE WE TO TELL HIM OTHER WISE??
MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE - JESUS - OR ON ORG THAT DENIES HIM??
There is no way to read later Trinitarian notions into any New Testament use of THEOS for Jesus. Let's just accept what the Bible says, that Jesus "lives because of the Father" (John 6:57), and refrain from adding our own personal beliefs to the Bible text.
OK - LETS LOOK AT THE PASSAGE AS A WHOLE & NOT PICKING BITS & PIECES HERE & THERE. FROM VERSE 53.
"JESUS SAID TO THEM. ‘I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, UNLESS YOU EAT THE FLESH OF THE SON OF MAN AND DRINK HIS BLOOD, YOU HAVE NO LIFE IN YOU.
54= WHOEVER EATS MY FLESH HAS ETERNAL LIFE, AND I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY.
55= FOR MY FLESH IS REAL FOOD AND MY BLOOD IS REAL DRINK.
56= WHOEVER EATS MY FLESH, AND DRINKS MY BLOOD REMAINS IN ME, AND I IN HIM.
57= JUST AS THE LIVING FATHER SENT ME AND I LIVE BECAUSE OF THE FATHER, SO THE ONE WHO FEEDS ON ME WILL LIVE BECAUSE OF ME.
58 = THIS IS THE BREAD THAT CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN. YOUR FOREFATHERS ATE MANNA AND DIED, BUT HE WHO FEEDS ON THIS BREAD WILL LIVE FOREVER."
PLEASE READ THE WHOLE PASSAGE & ASK YOUR SELF - DO YOU DO AS JESUS SAYS?? IF NOT WHY NOT?? ARE YOU TELLING JESUS THAT HE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT?
REGARDS VERSE 57 = PLEASE READ THIS PASSAGE VERY CAREFULLY & YOU WILL FIND THE MEANING OF THIS VERSE. ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU. HE WILL DO THAT - THE QUESTION AGAIN IS - DO YOU BELIEVE JESUS OR MAN??
JESUS TELLS US IN LUKE 22:19
