SDA part 5

Again I cite Acts 10: 13 -15  - God tells Peter that EVERYTHING is Good for eating as HE {God} has made everything  clean.
This doesn't mean that we go & pig out in everything we eat - but that we eat everything in moderation & Enjoy God's gifts juts as they are give & that we do not place any restrictions upon anyone = but allow each person to make his or hew own choice.

Juts as Paul tells us in Romans 14: 6 - 8 what ever we do we should do it unto the Lord & not our selves. In 1 Corinthians 8:8 Paul tells us again - that Food does not bring us any closer to God.  We are NO Worse of if we eat one thing or another.

Jesus tells us that what comes out of our mouth is what defiles us as these things come from the heart - that is when we speak - we are in effect speaking from the heart & not from our stomach. Matthew 12: 34 -37 - Matthew 15: 10 -11 & Verses
16 - 20
James tells us this: " Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because  you know that we we who each will be judged more strictly. We all stumble in many ways,. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his body in check. When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. Or take ships as an example. Although they  are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Like wise the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. The tongue is also a fire a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire by hell." James 3: 1-6 Please read rest of the chapter also.

As you can see from just few scriptures - it is what comes OUT of person  that defiles him & not what goes in!!

Again I say - little of anything is good for the soul - but over doing it is bad, as we became controlled by our desires &  in  turn we do not have  control over our desires, but they control us.

Hope this helps you just a little bit to see that we must be careful what we do & who we follow.
In Christ we have complete freedom to enjoy His Gifts - in moderation that is.
