IS ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH TRUE CHURCH AS BIBLE TEACHES?
THE
FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS SENT TO ME TO PROVE THAT RC BELIEF IS TRUE.
I
have been challenged to refute it from Scriptures & History & that
is exactly what I will do.
The
original information in black text is the Original material &
text in colour is.
This
is a difficult thing to do on ONE page, but as I don't want to separate
any information I will make it all one document & I will warn in advance
that this is a BIG Document.
The subject on whether Peter was the first pope & if there was a apostolic succession from Peter will take up a large proportion of this page. Reason being that this is so important.
A distinction
between Universal Catholic Church & Roman Catholic Church has to be
made first & foremost.
Catholic
Church is referred to as the UNIVERSAL Body Of Christ - that is ALL Christian
Believers in Jesus Christ as the Scripture defines it. That is, HE is The
Son of God who came in the Flesh to redeem ALL, He is Truly God in
Human Form. John 1: 1
Roman
Catholic Church on the other hand refers NOT to a person, But to the Belief
& teaching of Roman Catholic Church.
The author of the article below {black text} uses the words CATHOLIC to mean One Believing Roman Catholic Teaching & NOT the Universal Body of Christ.
One more thing: I feel it is important to state here right now that I the owner of this web page was Born into Roman Catholic Belief & was in it for some 23 years. So that you have some idea that I do know little bit about this subject.
I am
first to say that there are some early writers & even today, who generally
think that Peter was In Rome & that is where he was martyred.
Yet I can not find any evidence in the Scriptures to support this.
Then there are others who say that Peter went THROUGH Rome to Spain &
again I can not find any Scriptural evidence to support this.
Personally,
I do NOT want to be seen as the one who is TAKING AWAY from what Peter
did & what he was commissioned to do, but at the same time I can NOT
ADD to What is NOT in Scriptures to Support my own theory as that would
be Un-scriptural also.
Jesus clearly warns us NOT to ADD or TAKE AWAY from What is written in His Word & I will not do that.
I will be using NIV Bible as my Text references, But if anyone wants any other Bible reference they can just ask for them as I have - KJV; Latin Vulgate NT only; Life Application; NRSV NT Only; Holy Bible; CEV; The New English Bible; RSV etc. It is just that I find NIV so easy to read.
I had to separate the Original document in to number of pages as one page was becoming to cumbersome to read & edit.
Before we proceed, I believe that I should point out right now that there is NO more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, Romans 8: 1
A simple test for you all - Test or examine yourself as to whether you are in the faith. test your self. Do you not know yourself, that Jesus Christ is IN YOU - unless indeed you are disqualified or fail the test. But I trust that you will know that you are NOT disqualified. 2 Cor 13: 5 - 6.
Do you pass the test of fail it? You should be aware that all believers in Christ are crucified with Him; it is NO longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you. Moreover, you should know, that even though you are living in the flesh, you are living by faith in the Son of God (Jesus Christ), who loves you so much that He was willing to die for. You should know from Bible, that you should labour until Christ is formed in you - Galatians 2: 20 - 21 & 4: 19. As Paul adds to this, so do I, I pray that Lord Jesus Christ would grant you, according to the riches of His Sprit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in you hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3: 16 - 19. The Love of God is this: That we love everyone as love is of God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is Love... There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him (God) because He loved us First - 1 John 4: 7 -8 & 17 - 19. Compare John 3: 16.
Jesus tells us this in Revelation 3: 20 - 21 "Behold I (Jesus) stand at the door (door of your heart) and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My Throne, as I also, overcome and set down with My Father on His Throne."
Do you understand those words? There is NO specific NUMBER of people i.e. 144,000 - but all who overcome. To see how we overcome - please read John 15: 5.
The real meaning of life is to know Jesus Christ & make Him know & not some religious organization that denies Him. I suppose it could be argued, that the highest reward that any servant of devil will get is a place in hell as opposed to serving Christ & receiving The Reward of Heaven & sitting on His Throne just as He tells us He will do in Rev 3: 21. Choices are all we have - which one will you make?
As all ready mentioned above
- Jesus is the Way, The Truth & The Life, there is NO other
way to the Father but by Him. That means that NO religious organization
will do. There is a need for personal relationship with Christ ONLY. Get
it?? Turn on Turn into Christ or you will miss out the prize.
