Some notes and comments on various Biblical texts some have used to promote the doctrine of the Trinity. The main approach that will be used to arrive at a proper balanced view of these texts is based on the FACT that the Bible interprets itself.

"Who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God." FIRST OF ALL I WILL CITE THE WORDS AS THEY APPEAR IN “KIT”

– WHO- IN – FORM – OF GOD – EXISTING – NOT – SNATCHING – HE CONSIDERED – THE – TO BE- EQUAL [things] –> this word is not in Greek text] -TO GOD

NOW LET’S LOOK AT HOW KJV & NIV RENDER THE VERSE: STARTING IN VERSE 5

“LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU, WHICH WAS ALSO IN CHRIST JESUS  6 WHO, BEING IN THE FORM OF GOD, THOUGHT IT NOT ROBBERY TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD: 7 BUT MADE HIMSELF OF NO  REPUTATION, AND TOOK UPON  HIM THE FORM OF A SERVANT, AND WAS MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MAN: 8 AND BEING FOUND IN FASHION AS A MAN, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF, AND BECAME OBEDIENT UNTO DEATH, EVEN THE DEATH OF CROSS. 9 WHERE GOD ALSO HATH HIGHLY EXALTED HIM, AND GAVE HIM A NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME:” {KJV}

HERE ARE THE TWO NATURES OF CHRIST. HIS DIVINE NATURE: WHO BEING IN THE FORM OF GOD (V6) PARTAKING OF THE DIVINE NATURE, AS THE ETERNAL SON OF GOD. HE THOUGHT IT NO ROBBERY TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD; DID NOT THINK HIMSELF GUILTY OF ANY INVASION OF WHAT DID NOT BELONG TO HIM. IT IS THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF ROBBERY FOR ANY MERE MAN OR MERE CREATURE TO PRETEND TO BE EQUAL WITH GOD.

HIS HUMAN NATURE: HE WAS MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN, AND FOUND IN FASHION AS A MAN. HE WAS TRULY A MAN. AND HE VOLUNTARILY ASSUMED HUMAN NATURE; IT WAS HIS OWN ACT. WE CANNOT SAY THAT OUR PARTICIPATION OF THE HUMAN NATURE IS SO. HEREIN HE EMPTIED HIMSELF, TO CLOTHE HIMSELF WITH THE RAGS OF HUMAN NATURE.

{NIV NOW}:  “YOUR ATTITUDE SHOULD BE THE SAME AS OF CHRIST JESUS 6 WHO BEING IN THE VERY NATURE GOD, DID NOT CONSIDER EQUALITY WITH GOD SOMETHING TO BE GRASPED, 7 BUT MADE HIMSELF NOTHING TAKING VERY NATURE OF A SERVANT, BEING MADE IN HUMAN LIKENESS. 8 AND BEING IN APPEARANCE AS A MAN, HE HUMBLED HIMSELF AND BECAME OBEDIENT TO DEATH ON A CROSS! 9 THEREFORE GOD EXALTED HIM TO THE HIGHEST PLACE AND GAVE HIM THE NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY NAME.”
LIFE APPLICATION BIBLE NOW:

5 "YOUR ATTITUDE SHOULD BE THE SAME THAT CHRIST JESUS HAD. 6 THOUGH HE WAS GOD. HE DID NOT DEMAND AND CLING TO HIS RIGHTS AS GOD. 7 HE MAD HIMSELF NOTHING; HE TOOK THE HUMBLE POSITION OF A SLAVE AND APPEARED IN HUMAN FORM. 8 AND IN HUMAN FORM HE OBEDIENTLY HUMBLED HIMSELF EVEN FURTHER BY DYING A CRIMINAL'S DEATH ON A CROSS. 9 BECAUSE OF THIS GOD RAISED HIM UP TO THE HIGHEST HEAVEN AND GAVE HIM A NAME THAT IS ABOVE EVERY OTHER NAME 10 SO THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY NAME WILL BOW, IN HEAVEN & ON EARTH AND UNDER THE EARTH."

DEAR READERS AS YOU CAN SEE – IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ THE WHOLE PASSAGE. PLEASE FINISH READING THE ENTIRE PASSAGE FROM VERSE 1 – VERSE 10 IN OTHER BIBLES.

JESUS DID NOT CONSIDER ‘EQUALITY WITH HIS GOD NATURE’ SOMETHING TO BE ‘GRASPED’ BECAUSE HE ALREADY HAD IT.

Some Trinitarians, look at this verse from three perspectives in their endeavour to prove the Trinity. First, that Jesus here is existing in God's form, implying that he was God, and secondly, that the word translated "seizure," means to cling to, meaning that Jesus was God, and finally that Jesus was equal to God. Is this what Paul is telling us?

AGAIN – PLEASE – HUMANS DIDN’T SAY IT

IT WAS “GOD” WHO SAID IT & HAD IT RECORDED IN HIS BOOK – THE WORD OF GOD "BIBLE. "

IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE EVERY WORD ABOVE – PLEASE GO TO YOUR OWN “KIT” & YOU WILL SEE THAT GB TRANSLATING BODY “INSERTED WORDS” AS THEY PLEASED SO TO FIT THEIR OWN MEANING & NOT WHAT IS BEING SAID BY GOD.

First, let's look at the word "form." The Greek word translated "form" is "morphe." It means "in the form of, outward appearance, external form." What does this tell us about Jesus when he was in heaven? That he was in God's "form, or outward appearance." And what exactly is God's form or outward appearance in heaven? John 4:24 tells us: "God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth."

AGAIN THE AUTHOR IS TAKING THE READER AWAY FROM WHAT IS BEING SAID. JUST LOOK AT THE AUTHORS OWN MEANING OF THE WORD! I  HAVE  HIGHLIGHTED THEM FOR YOU

YES GOD IS “SPIRIT”  - VERSE 6 TELLS US EVEN “IN KIT” THAT JESUS “WHO EXISTED IN THE “FORM” OF GOD” BEFORE HE BECAME FLESH.

NIV USES THE WORD “NATURE” OR AS WE HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE & THIS AUTHOR HAS USED IT “ESSENCE” OF GOD & SEMBLANCE OF IN OTHER PASSAGES!

AS WE READ THE PASSAGE CAREFULLY – THE VERSE 6 TELLS US – THAT  JESUS WAS GOD IN “SPIRITUAL FORM” HE DIDN’T THINK TWICE ABOUT BECOMING OR TAKING “ANOTHER FORM” - THAT IS HIS HUMAN FLESH & HE BECAME A SERVANT {verses 7& 8}.

Yes God's form, or external appearance, is a "spirit!" Paul helps us to see just what the word form means when he said at 2 Timothy 3:5: "having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."

AND SO WE SHOULD AS THEY DENY JESUS & HIS GOD SHIP. WHICH IS A HEALTH HAZARD!

Yes, it is the outward appearance, or form of Godly devotion that people in the last days would demonstrate.

{Paul in this passage is telling us that we should stay away from those who “pretend” to be GOD’S CHOSEN people, YET THEY DENY HIS EXISTENCE}

Paul here helps us to see that they would not "internally possess, or have it be a part of their nature," this Godly devotion, but rather they would appear to have Godly devotion.

[YES THEY“ APPEAR TO BE” OF GOD BUT DENYING HIS EXISTENCE & THE EXISTENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO WILL TEACH US EVERYTHING}

We then understand that these would "outwardly appear" to have Godly devotion, yet not actually have it.

 YES – SO TRUE. THIS IS WHAT “ALL” CULTS DO, THEY “PRETEND” TO BE OF GOD YET THEY MAKE THINGS UP SO TO SUIT THEIR OWN TEACHINGS, AND NOT WHAT GOD TELLS US. THEY CHANGE & ALTER GOD’S WORD AS IT PLEASES THEM. WHEN THINGS DO NOT COME THROUGH AS THEY ORIGINALLY TAUGHT, THEY BLAME IT ON FELLOW SLAVES.

Thus the outward appearance or form of God is spirit, just as Paul tells us angels are at Hebrews 1:14: "Are they not all spirits for public service, sent forth to minister for those who are going to inherit salvation?"

THE VERSE AS IT APPEARED IN NIV:

“ARE NOT ALL ANGELS MINISTERING SPIRITS SENT TO SERVE THOSE WHO WILL INHERIT SALVATION?”

  PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THE “ANGELS” WHO ARE HELPING US IN OUR DAILY LIVES – TO THOSE WHO DENY THE EXISTENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT & WHO DENY THE DEITY OF JESUS. NO ANGEL DENIES JESUS’ HIS DIVINE QUALITY & LIVES IN HEAVEN WITH HIM. SAME RULE APPLIES TO HUMANS, ANYONE WHO DENIES JESUS – HE WILL DENY HIM {see Matthew 10:33}.

 Yes, just as angels are spirits, Jesus also was a spirit in heaven before he came to earth. He would logically then, have to be in the "form" or "outward appearance" of God, who is a spirit as well.  WE CAN NOT SEE SPIRITS!

THE PHILIPPIANS PASSAGE TELLS US THAT JESUS WAS GOD IN HIS SPIRITUAL FORM.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE AUTHOR “AGREES” THAT JESUS WAS “THE GOD” IN HIS SPIRITUAL FORM. INTERESTING ISN’T IT? YET HE IS TELLING US THAT SOMEHOW JESUS IS OF LOWER ESSENCE IN HIS HUMAN FORM.

YES – JESUS “HUMBLED” HIMSELF & BECAME A SERVANT – BUT HE WAS STILL GOD. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BEING – THAT JEWISH PEOPLE COULD SEE WHAT “GOD” LOOKED LIKE IN THE “FLESH.” WOULDN’T THAT BE A NICE SITE TO SEE?

WELL – WE CAN EXPERIENCE HIM IN OUR LIVES IF WE ALLOW HIM TO LIVE IN OUR HEARTS. THAT IS IN HIS SPIRITUAL FORM HE CAN RESIDE IN YOUR HEART IF YOU LET HIM.

Secondly, this notion that the word translated "seizure" means to "cling to." Is this the case? The NIV and the RSV translate this word "harpagmon" as "grasped." The word "harpagmon" is a form of the word "harpazo." It literally means to "pluck, pull, take by force." NOT "cling to."

IN THE FIRST SENTENCE IT MEANS TO CLING TO & AT THE END OF THE PARAGRAPH IT HAS BEEN REVERSED & NOW IT DOES NOT MEAN TO "“CLING TO."” THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE, IT EITHER IS ONE OR THE OTHER IN BOTH INSTANCES.

This is why the NIV translates this verse as "did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped." (or plucked, or taken by force). Some say that this is because he already WAS God! TRUE!

THE AUTHOR SAID IT HIMSELF ALSO IN THE ABOVE PASSAGE. CHRISTIANS TAKE THE WORD OF GOD FOR WHAT IT IS “TRUTH”.

This view point, however is not taught in the text. Keep in mind the verse says "[Jesus] did not consider equality with God, a thing to be grasped." If he already was God, then he would internally possess being God, and would have been able to "consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, because he already WAS GOD!! But that is NOT what Paul wrote. Paul said that [Jesus] "did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped."

 WHAT PAUL IS TELLING US BY THE USE OF SUCH WORDS IS THIS.

THAT GOD NATURE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT CAN BE “FORCEFULLY RETAINED.”

THE “GLORY” THAT CHRIST HAD WITH HIS FATHER BEFORE HE BECAME A MAN WAS STILL IN  EXISTENCE IN HIS HUMAN FLESH. BUT HE DID NOT CONSIDER THAT “HIGH POSITION” TO BE SOMETHING HE COULD NOT GIVE UP & BECAME A SERVANT TO YOU & ME & ANYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM.

IT WAS HIS AS AN INHERITANCE BY BEING A “SON” OF GOD. HE DIDN’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING TO PROVE TO ANYONE THAT HE WAS “GOD”.

IT WAS HIS FROM THE BEGINNING & IT WILL BE HIS FOR ETERNITY.

JESUS SET A STANDARD FOR US TO FOLLOW, THAT IS TO HUMBLE OURSELVES & BECOME SERVANTS TO OTHERS, JUST LIKE JESUS IS SERVANT TO US.

Let us look at another instance of the word "harpazo" at John 10:28. There we read: "And I give them everlasting life, and they will by no means ever be destroyed, and no one will snatch them out of my hand."

Here "harpazo" is translated as snatch. So are we to imagine that one can "cling to" those in Jesus hand? No. Jesus is telling us that no one will be able to "pluck, or take by force," those within his hand.

BUT =  WE ARE NOT DISCUSSING THE WORD “SNATCH,” BUT WHO JESUS IS.

YES THIS WORD CAN BE USED IN MANY ASPECTS – DEPENDING ON THE CONTEXT OF THAT PASSAGE. JUST AS I MENTIONED ABOVE, THIS MEANS THAT WHAT JESUS HAD IN HIS SPIRITUAL FORM HE HAD IN HIS HUMAN FORM. HE WAS STILL GOD & HE WAS VISIBLE.

Or at Jude 22,23 which reads: "Also, continue showing mercy to some that have doubts; save [them] by snatching [them] out of the fire. But continue showing mercy to others, doing so with fear, while YOU hate even the inner garment that has been stained by the flesh."

Are we to imagine that those in the fire "cling to" the fire and cannot be released? {NO! WE ARE TO “CLING TO” THEM & GET THEM OUT OF THAT FIRE} If that was the case, then of what is the benefit are Jude's words? Why even bother to try to save those that have doubts? No we are to "pluck, or take by force," those in the fire.

THAT’S WHY WE ARE HERE ASKING YOU AS A READER TO READ THE “WHOLE” BOOK & PASSAGES & THEN JUDGE IT ON THAT READING & NOT BY TAKING VERSES OUT OF CONTEXT & “MAKING” THINGS UP THAT ARE NOT THERE, JUST BECAUSE WE DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT GOD IS TELLING US. THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVENLY REALM IS THROUGH “JESUS” & NOT ANY MAN OR ORGANIZATION.

The word "harpazo" means to "steal, pluck, take by force." And there is not one single verse in the Bible, where the word "harpazo" means to "cling to," not one. THE AUTHOR TELLS US ABOVE THAT IT DOES! Yes, Jesus "gave no consideration to a seizure," or "did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped," because he was NOT equal to God. NO - NO – NO,

GODSHIP WAS HIS IN HIS SPIRITUAL FORM & PAUL TOLD US THAT. THEN HE WENT FURTHER & INFORMED US THAT “EVEN THOUGH” JESUS WAS “GOD” HE DID NOT CONSIDER IT TO BE A TO HIGH OF A POSITION FOR HIM TO “HUMBLE HIMSELF” & BECAME A SERVANT. THAT IS ONE OF US “A HUMAN BEING.”

Finally, about Jesus claiming to be equal with God. From the above, it is obvious that there is no claim at all by Jesus to be equal to God. Rather, just as Jesus himself declared at John 14:28: "YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is
greater than I am."

Yes, by Jesus' own admission, he was not equal to his Father. The Greek word here translated "greater" is "meizon." It means to "surpass others in nature and power." (More on John 14:28 under the John heading under the Scriptural Proofs That The Trinity Is Not Biblical section.)

THIS IS NOT SO – THE USE OF THE WORD “GREATER” SIMPLY REFERS TO “AUTHORITY” & NOT “NATURE.”

JESUS DIDN’T SAY THAT FATHER WAS “BETTER” THEN HIM. JUST AS PRESIDENT OF USA HAS MORE “AUTHORITY/POWER THEN YOU & ME. THIS IN “NO WAY” MAKES HIM ANY “MORE” HUMAN BEING THEN YOU & I. NEITHER DOES IT MAKE HIM A ‘BETTER’ HUMAN BEING THAN YOU AND I.

JOHN 14:28 “MUST” BE UNDERSTOOD IN JESUS’ RELATION TO “UNITY” TO HIS FATHER IN JOHN 10: 30). WHAT JESUS IS TELLING “ALL" OF US IS THAT WE SHOULD BE SUBORDINATE TO OUR PARENTS, JUST AS HE IS SUBORDINATE TO HIS FATHER.

JUST BECAUSE JESUS OBEYS HIS FATHER'S COMMANDS & DOES EXACTLY AS HIS FATHER DOES – IN NO WAY DOES THIS MAKE HIM ANY LESS GOD BY “NATURE/ESSENCE.”

WOULDN’T WE BE LUCKY IF OUR SONS & DAUGHTERS WERE AS OBEDIENT TO US AS JESUS IS OBEDIENT TO HIS FATHER? THE WORLD WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PLACE TO LIVE IN. WOULDN’T IT?  WOULD IF MAKE OUR CHILDREN LESS HUMAN IF THEY OBEYED US?

BUT EVEN BIGGER FACT TO CONSIDER IS THIS. IF WE “LOVED” OUR FELLOW BROTHERS & SISTERS {NEIGHBOURS} AS WE LOVE GOD & OURSELVES, THEN THERE WOULD BE NO WARS!!!

THIS IS HARD – AS THERE ARE THOSE WHO “DENY” GOD THE “LOVE” THAT IS DUE TO HIM. SO WE FIGHT & ARGUE OVER THINGS AS SOME ALLOW “MERE MEN” TO BE THEIR LEADERS & NOT GOD.

 Keep in mind the context of Philippians 2:5 is dealing with Jesus "mental attitude." We read in verse 5: "Keep this mental attitude in YOU that was also in Christ Jesus."

WHEN WE KEEP THIS MENTAL ATTITUDE – THEN WE DO NOT DENY HIM HIS GODSHIP, BUT WE LOVE HIM WITH “ALL” OUR MIND, SOUL, & HEART. ANYONE WHO DENIES HIM – DENIES HIM THIS LOVE & HE IN TURN WILL DENY THEM TO HIS FATHER.

WHILE I AM ON THIS POINT:

IN JOHN 5:22-23 JESUS TELLS US THAT WE ARE TO HONOR HIM AS WE HONOR HIS FATHER AS JESUS IS OUR SOLE JUDGE.
 

IN JOHN 12: 26 JESUS TELLS US THAT "ANYONE"  WHO DOES NOT HONOR HIM - THEN HIS FATHER WILL NOT HONOR THAT PERSON. DO YOU WANT TO BE THAT PERSON WHO IS NOT HONOURED BY JESUS FATHER?
 IT'S UP TO YOU - OK!!

Thus it was his humility that Paul says we would emulate. And just what did Paul go on to say Christ did? Verse 7 and 8 read: "No, but he emptied himself and took a slave's form and came to be in the likeness of men. More than that, when he found himself in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient as far as death, yes, death on a torture stake."

PRAISE BE TO GOD – OR LORD & SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, FOR BEING SO HUMBLE THAT HE CAME DOWN FROM HIS “BIG” POSITION & BECAME ONE OF US TO OFFER US AN EASIER WAY TO HIS KINGDOM. BLESSED BE HIS NAME FOREVER & EVER – HALLELUJAH. PLEASE NOTE THE AUTHORS OWN WORDS ABOVE, "UNDERLINED" WORDS i.e..

Yes, although he [Jesus] was a mighty, powerful spirit person in heaven, he gave that mighty spirit body up, or emptied (Greek "kenoo," meaning 'to empty, evacuate, divest one's self, neutralize') himself of that mighty spirit body, to become a man of flesh, and was obedient as far as death. Yes, this very same Jesus, who was in heaven, came to earth and died! (God however cannot die 1 Timothy 1:17; Habakkuk 1:12; More on this under the Habakkuk heading under the Scriptural Proofs That The Trinity is Not Biblical section) This attitude of humility is what True Christians imitate.

DEAR READERS IF JESUS ISN’T “TRUE” GOD – THEN HE IS A FALSE god.  HE CAN ONLY BE ONE & THAT IS “TRUE GOD.”

GOD DID NOT DIE. JESUS ENTRUSTED (COMMENDED) HIS SPIRIT [Luke 23:46], the only thing that was dead for few hour was Jesus fleshy body. THE SPIRIT WAS WITH THE FATHER IN HEAVEN – UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY MORNING WHEN JESUS’ SPIRIT RETURNED TO HIS FLESH THAT WAS IN THE GRAVE & HE WAS ALIVE AGAIN. JUST AS IT WAS PROPHESIED MANY TIMES IN THE WORD OF GOD.

"For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name  that is above every [other] name, so that in the name of Jesus every knee should bend of those in     heaven and those on earth and those under the ground, and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

V9 = "WHEREFORE GOD ALSO HATH HIGHLY EXALTED HIM, AND GIVEN HIM A NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME: v10 THAT AT THAT NAME EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW, OF THINGS IN HEAVEN, AND THINGS IN EARTH, AND THINGS UNDER THE EARTH; v11 AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER."

When we bow do we not worship? In Exodus 20: 5 it reads:

THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF TO THEM (FALSE GODS), NOR SERVE THEM: BUT PHIL 2:9-11 WE SEE THAT WE ARE ‘TO’ BOW DOWN AND CONFESS THAT JESUS IS LORD. IF WE ARE NOT TO BOW TO FALSE gods, THEN JESUS IS GOD. (by nature) AND REMEMBER WE ARE NOT TO WORSHIP ANGELS. (Hebrews 1:6)

 These verses are used by some to prove the following:

1) That because the name Jesus is higher than any other name, that Jesus must be Jehovah.

RUE – IF THIS WAS NOT TRUE THEN BIBLE WOULD BE A LIE & IT IS NOT.

JESUS HIMSELF TELLS US IN JOHN 17: 11 THAT HE HAS THE SAME NAME AS HIS FATHER WHOSE NAME IS "JEHOVAH" - THEN WHAT NAME DOES JESUS GO BY?  JEHOVAH RIGHT!!
 

2) That verses 10,11 are a quote of Isaiah 45:23,24 which has reference to Jehovah, thus Jesus is Jehovah.

ONCE AGAIN “TRUE” – OTHERWISE GOD LIES & WE KNOW THAT HE DOES NOT. SO AGAIN THIS IS THE TRUTH.

3) That because every knee bends to Jesus, he is worshipped as God.

TRUE ONCE AGAIN – SEE ALSO JOHN 5:22-23 WHERE JESUS TELLS US THAT HE IS THE FINAL JUDGE OF US.

ALSO: WE ARE "NOT" TO WORSHIP ANYONE BUT GOD!! MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND!!

GOD OR MAN - IT'S UP TO YOU & NOT ME!!

4) That Jesus is Jehovah, because he is to be acknowledged as Lord.!! AGAIN TRUE!!

Lets consider these opinions one by one.

AS USUAL GOD DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS SAYING – SO WE MUST CORRECT HIM.

1: Let it be noted that the verse says Jesus was "given," the name that is above every other name. The Greek word translated "given" is "charizomai." It means to "freely grant, bestow, to give graciously." Lets see how it is used elsewhere in the Bible for its proper meaning.

WHEN WE DO IT ACCORDING TO THIS MEANING, THEN WE ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING AS FAR AS GOD IS CONCERNED.

WE ARE “GRANTING, BESTOWING, GIVING GRACIOUSLY OUR WORSHIP TO JESUS. JUST AS THIS PASSAGE TELLS US WE SHOULD DO.

At Romans 8:32 we read: "He who did not even spare his own Son but delivered him up for us all, why will he not also with him kindly give us all other things?"

THIS IS HOW NIV RENDERS THE VERSE: - “HE WHO DID NOT SPARE HIS OWN SON, BUT GAVE HIM UP FOR US ALL – HOW WILL HE NOT ALSO, ALONG WITH HIM, GRACIOUSLY GIVE US ALL THINGS?”

DIFFERENT CONTEXT TO THIS PASSAGE THEN IN NWT, Isn’t there?

WE ARE DISCUSSING THE “NATURE” OF GOD – BUT AGAIN & AGAIN WE GO ON
ANOTHER TANGENT TO DISCUSS THE MEANING OF “OTHER” WORDS IN PASSAGES THAT AREN’T EVEN RELATED.

The word translated here as "give" is also "charizomai." What does this use of the word in the text mean?

[IT DOES NOT MATTER AS IT DISCUSSING A DIFFERENT THING, THEREFORE IT IS USED IN DIFFERENT CONTEXT].

That the disciples would be given all other things from, God, the Father, the one who gave his own Son. So then, we can see clearly the word to give means to freely grant, to permit to have, bestow. Why is this so important? Because if Jesus WERE Jehovah, he already would own or have the name that is above every other name! He could NOT be given it!

NOT AT ALL = FATHER GIVES FREELY TO SON EVERYTHING THAT HE HAS & IN TURN “SON” GIVES FREELY TO “ALL” WHO CONFESS HIM AS “CHRIST.” THAT MEANS THAT WE MUST HONOUR THE SON AS WE HONOUR THE FATHER, IF WE DO NOT THEN WE DO NOT HONOUR THE FATHER EITHER. JOHN 5:22-23 & JOHN 12:26

Exodus 3:15 tells us something else: "Then God said once more to Moses: "This is what you are to say to the sons of Israel, 'Jehovah the God of YOUR forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, has sent me to YOU.' This is my name to time indefinite."

THIS PASSAGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SUBJECT AT HAND EITHER. WE STARTED IN PHILIPPIANS & NOW WE CROSS TO AN “UNRELATED” PASSAGE SOME WHERE ELSE IN THE BIBLE.

GOD’S PERSONAL NAME IS “YHWH” WHICH MEANS “I AM WHO I AM”. TAKE A LOOK IN THE KJV NIV OR ANY OTHER BIBLE THAT IS TRANSLATED WITHOUT BIAS TOWARDS CULTS OWN TEACHING.

INTERESTING PASSAGE TO COMPARE IS JOHN 17:11 -12 WHERE JESUS IS PRAYING TO HIS FATHER. LETS TAKE A LOOK AT IT & SEE WHAT JESUS HAS TO SAY ABOUT "GODS NAME."

Yes, the name Jehovah is God's personal name forever! (see Isaiah 42:8) He cannot give it to another, nor can another possess this name. It is exclusively God's.

 Here we see that Jesus was "made" Lord and Christ. Again, If Jesus were Jehovah, he could NOT be made Jehovah, nor could he be given the name Jehovah, for he already would BE Jehovah!!

DEAR READERS – AGAIN & AGAIN WE GO FROM ONE SUBJECT TO ANOTHER, JEWS “KNEW” STRAIGHT AWAY WHAT PETER WAS REFERRING TO & THAT WAS – THAT JESUS WAS THE “PROMISED MESSIAH.” THAT IS WHY THEY ASKED, “WHAT SHALL WE DO?” – PETER REPLIED THAT THEY SHOULD REPENT & BE BAPTIZED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.

IT IS AN IMPOSSIBILITY IN ANY BOOK TO FIND ALL THE ANSWERS IN ONE WORD, ONE PHRASE, ONE VERSE, and ONE PARAGRAPH  OR EVEN ONE CHAPTER.

THAT’S WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT FOR US TO ASK & INVITE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO OPEN OUR EYES & TEACH US IS HIS WORD. HE WILL TEACH US WHAT WE NEED TO READ & UNDERSTAND IN EACH CHAPTER OF THE BIBLE. HE WILL GUIDE US THROUGH HIS WORD AS WE NEED IT.

JUST BECAUSE THE WORDS “GOD” DO NOT APPEAR IN EVERY PHRASE WHERE THE WORD “JESUS” APPEARS, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE IS NOT “ONE TRUE GOD.”

THERE ARE MANY PASSAGES THAT SAY THAT HE IS LIKE JOHN 1:1, THE PASSAGE THAT WE STARTED TO READ PHILIPPIANS 2: 6-8, ISAIAH 9:6 REVELATION 1 & 22– AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE BIBLE.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NO ONE HAS SEEN NOR HEARD THE FATHER JOHN 1:18 & 5: 37-38. AS THIS IS THE CASE = THEN IN ‘EVERY CASE” WHERE GOD IS SPEAKING OR SPOKEN OF IT IS REFERRING TO JESUS, AS HE IS THE MEDIATOR BETWEEN THE FATHER & US.

Also Micah 5:4 is important to our discussion here as well where we read: "And he will certainly stand and do shepherding in the strength of Jehovah, in the superiority of the name of Jehovah his God. And they will certainly keep dwelling, for now he will be great as far as the ends of the earth."

JESUS ALWAYS HAS BEEN & ALWAYS WILL BE THE “ALMIGHTY.”

JESUS TRIED TO GATHER THE CHILDREN OF JERUSALEM SO MANY TIMES, BUT THEY REFUSED HIM TIME & TIME AGAIN (Matthew 23:37 –38 & Luke 13:34 –35). Are you going to be like the people of Jerusalem or not?
 

THE CHOICE IS YOURS, EITHER FOLLOW HIM & BELIEVE HIS WORDS OR BELIEVE WHAT “FALSE TEACHERS” TELL YOU.

 This verse is speaking prophetically about Jesus and what he would do for mankind in the future. Notice that the name Jehovah (YHWH) is superior or majestic to the name Jesus! Thus Jesus cannot be Jehovah, for the name Jehovah is superior to the name Jesus. The name Jesus means "Jehovah is Salvation," whereas the name Jehovah means "I SHALL PROVE TO BE WHAT I SHALL PROVE TO BE,' or "Causes to Become." Thus the name Jesus is NOT above the name Jehovah or equal to it!

NOT SO – GOD’S NAME IS “I AM WHO I AM.” Ex.  3: 14

ALSO JESUS HAS THE SAME NAME AS HIS FATHER SEE ABOVE PASSAGES OR JOHN 17: 11-12

GOD HAS NOTHING TO PROVE TO ANYONE. ALSO AS HIS NAME IS “I AM WHO I AM” THEN HIS NAME IS NOT “JEHOVAH.” THIS IS YET ANOTHER “MISREPRESENTATION” OF THE GB TRANSLATING BODY.

THEY DID THIS SO THAT THIS PASSAGE DOES NOT CROSS-REFERENCE BACK TO JOHN 8:58.  JESUS IS THE ONE & THE SAME ‘I AM’ IN OT. PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NO ONE HAS SEEN NOR HEARD THE FATHER.

But then how do we understand Paul's words "For this very reason also God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the name that is above every [other] name." Jesus was given the name that is above every other name regarding the arrangement for salvation.

[THIS MEANS THAT WT IS NOT THE ONE THAT PROVIDES THE SALVATION, BUT JESUS HIMSELF. NO ONE NEEDS ANY MAN OR ORGANIZATION AS A WAY TO GOD].

For this is the context of the verses starting from verse 5 through 12. [WE DO NOT SAY ANYTHING DIFFERENT]. Remember Jesus' own words at John 14:6: "Jesus said to him: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." True Christians do not stop at the feet of Jesus, but rather their goal is to go to the Father THROUGH Jesus. And there is no other name under heaven by which men can go to the Father, and be saved for we read at Acts 4:12: "Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved." Yes those who want everlasting life need to put faith in the name of Jesus and acknowledge him in his position as Lord, to the glory of God the Father, who made him such. This newly given name or position as Lord, is what Jesus received, or was given, due to his faithfulness, by being exalted by his Father to heaven!

SO TRUE – AS I SAID ABOVE – THIS MEANS THAT WT IS A “FALSE TEACHER” AS THERE IS “NO ONE ELSE” THAT CAN BRING US TO THE FATHER, BUT JESUS. WE WILL BE WITH HIM IN HEAVEN & NOT ON EARTH.

I WOULD RECOMMEND WE READ 2 CORINTHIANS 11:4 –

FOR IF SOMEONE COMES TO YOU AND PREACHES A JESUS OTHER THAN THE JESUS WE PREACHED, OR IF YOU RECEIVE A DIFFERENT SPIRIT FROM THE ONE YOU RECEIVED, OR A DIFFERENT GOSPEL FROM THE ONE YOU ACCEPTED, YOU PUT UP
WITH IT EASILY ENOUGH.  NIV:

HERE PAUL IS TELLING US TO WATCH OUR FOR THOSE WHO  TEACH DIFFERENTLY THAN THE APOSTLES TAUGHT.

3) Because every knee bends to Jesus, does this mean that he is worshipped as God?

First, let it be noted, that even those in heaven, bend their knee. Do angels have knees? Of course not, so this helps us to reason that we need to understand what the term "bend the knee" means to those on earth and heaven.

The word translated "bow" or "bend" is "kampto." It means "in devout recognition, to honor." Yes, Paul here tells us that true Christians honor Jesus or bend their knee to him due to his position as Lord. This however does not mean that true Christians worship Jesus, or bend their knee to him, to the same degree of worshipping the Father.

ALSO - IN JOHN 12:26 JESUS TELLS US THAT ANYONE WHO DOES NOT SERVE & HONOR JESUS - THEN HIS FATHER WILL NOT HONOR HIM / HER.

MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP DEAR READERS, BUT JESUS “CLEARLY” STATES THAT ANYONE WHO DOES HONOUR THE SON AS HE HONOURS THE FATHER – THEN HE “DOES NOT HONOUR THE FATHER.”

This is shown at Matthew 4:10 where we read: "Then Jesus said to him: "Go away, Satan! For it is written, 'It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.'"

THIS PASSAGE DOES NOT REFER TO “WORSHIPING” THE SON. THIS PASSAGE REFERS TO ANOTHER TEACHING & THAT IS THIS.

JESUS WAS TEMPTED BY THE DEVIL, DEVIL WAS OFFERING JESUS THE WHOLE KINGDOM IF HE WOULD WORSHIP HIM {DEVIL}.

JESUS REPLIED THAT WE SHOULD WORSHIP NO ONE ELSE BUT  “LORD OUR GOD” & WE ARE TO SERVE GOD ONLY.

LATER ON IN JESUS’ MINISTRY – JESUS TELLS US THAT WE ARE TO HONOUR HIM IN THE SAME MANNER AS WE HONOUR THE FATHER.

THESE TWO PASSAGES ARE COMPLETELY TO DIFFERENT & UNRELATED TO ONE ANOTHER.

DO YOU WANT TO WORSHIP THE DEVIL? NO! WELL THEN – LEAVE THE ORGANIZATION THAT YOU ARE IN NOW & WORSHIP CHRIST. SEE REVELATION 16:13-14.

Here we see that Jesus shows us (and the Devil) the degree of worship that ONLY the Father, Jehovah, would receive.

NOT AT ALL – JESUS TELLS US THAT WE ARE TO WORSHIP “LORD OUR GOD” – CHECK YOUR OWN: KIT: & YOU WILL SEE THAT THE WORD FOR LORD IS MISS RENDERED AGAIN & AGAIN.

It is the "rendering of sacred service." The Greek word here translated as "sacred service" is "latreuo." This word means "religious worship, or, to render religious service." This is the highest form of worship that one can receive in the Bible. It is only given to Jehovah.

NOT ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE – BUT ACCORDING TO WT TEACHING.

 However others in the Bible receive "worship" or "proskuneo," such as men, Jesus, kings and the disciples. (Exodus 18:7; Hebrews 1:6; 2 Chronicles 29:20; Revelation 3:9;) But this hardly means that they are God. The word "proskuneo" means to "honor, show respect to, pay homage to, do obeisance to." This word however, is NOT the equal to "latreuo" which only the Father Jehovah receives. (More detail on this under the Hebrews 1:6 section)

YES IT IS - WHEN WE “HONOUR” FATHER'S WISHES THEN WE DO AS FATHER WANTS US TO DO.

IF ON THE OTHER HAND WE DO AS THE WT TEACHES THEN WE WILL NOT DO AS FATHER WANTS US TO DO, BUT WHAT WT TELLS US TO DO.

THAT IS A HEALTH HAZARD AS YOU ARE HONOURING SOMEONE ELSE’S TEACHING & NOT WHAT JESUS WANTS US TO LEARN.

WHEN FATHER'S SON TELLS US THAT WE ARE TO HONOR HIM – THEN WE ARE TO HONOR HIM ‘JUST AS’ HE TELLS US TO DO IT. ANY OTHER WAY IS CONTRARY TO THAT TEACHING.

WHEN WE “HONOUR” WE IN EFFECT “WORSHIP” – THOSE WHO ARE ASHAMED OF CHRIST & HIS WORDS ARE ASHAMED BY WHAT SHOULD GIVE HIM THE HONOR –Mark 8:32

To honor someone is to ‘recognize’ the VALUE of someone & then act accordingly. Are you ASHAMED of Jesus’ words & HIM?

TO WORSHIP ON THE OTHER HAND – REFERS TO HUMAN RESPONSE TO PERCEIVED PRESENCE OF DIVINE NATURE (SPEAKING IN BIBLICAL TERMS HERE).

WE CAN WORSHIP GOD “AT” THE ALTAR AS THE OT PROPHETS DID.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY “WORSHIPPED” THE ALTAR – BUT THEY  PERFORMED SACRIFICES & OFFERINGS TO GOD “AT” THE ALTAR.

IT APPLIES TODAY – WE CAN WORSHIP GOD “IN” THE CHURCH (LITERAL BUILDING), WE CAN WORSHIP GOD “AT” HOME (THIS MEANS THAT YOU CAN GIVE GLORY TO GOD AT HOME IN PRIVATE).

WE CAN WORSHIP GOD ANYWHERE WE ARE. THIS MEANS THAT WE TALK TO HIM “ALL” THE TIME.

BY GIVING “HONOR” TO ‘JESUS’ WORDS WE IN EFFECT WORSHIP HIM. HE IS OUR TRUE GOD & SAVIOR, SO WE ARE TO HONOR HIM IN THE ‘EXACT’ WAY THAT WE HONOUR THE FATHER.

Thus true Christians bend their knee to Jesus in recognition of the name, or position, or power, as Lord, that Jesus receives from God.

EVERYTHING THAT FATHER HAS – HE HAS GIVEN TO THE SON – SO WE BETTER DO AS THE SON SAYS.

THE FATHER LOVES THE SON AND HAS PLACED ‘EVERYTHING IN HIS HANDS.

WHOEVER BELIEVES IN THE SON HAS ETERNAL LIFE, BUT WHOEVER “REJECTS” THE SON WILL “NOT” SEE LIFE, FOR GOD’S WRATH REMAINS ON HIM.” John 3:35-36.

DO YOU WANT TO HAVE THE FATHERS “WRATH” UPON YOUR LIFE?

WE PRAY THAT YOU  DO NOT & WE PRAY THAT HOLY SPIRIT OPENS YOU EYES TO HIM & THAT HE SOFTENS YOUR HEART FROM THE “STONY ONE” TO THE “FLESHY ONE.”

4) Because Jesus is to be acknowledged as Lord, does this make him Jehovah? [YES IT DOES.] The word translated Lord is "kyrios." It can mean "owner, master, mediator, Sir, lord." Many in the Bible are called "lord," and are clearly not Jehovah.

BUT AT “NO TIME” DOES IT MEAN “JEHOVAH” EXCEPT BY WT OWNS GB WHO RENDERED THE WORD AS JEHOVAH IN EVERY PASSAGE THAT IT DOES NOT RELATE TO THE JESUS. THIS WAS DONE SO TO DENY JESUS’ DEITY. CHECK YOUR OWN “KIT” & YOU WILL SEE WHAT WE MEAN.

For instance we read at 1 Peter 3:6: "as Sarah used to obey Abraham, calling him "lord." And YOU have become her children, provided YOU keep on doing good and not fearing any cause for terror."

Here we see that Abraham was called "lord." Was Abraham Jehovah?

NO – HE WAS HER MASTER.

Revelation 7:14 reads: "So right away I said to him: "My lord you are the one that knows." And he said to me: "These are the ones that come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

Here we see that John calls one of the 24 elders in heaven "lord." Was this elder Jehovah?

INTERESTING THING IN THIS VERSE IS THAT KJV & NIV TRANSLATE THE WORD “SIR” & NWT AS LORD, WHICH CAN BE DONE AS THE WORD “KURIE & KURIOS” CAN BE TRANSLATED & RENDERED BOTH WAYS.

YET IN EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF NWT THIS WORD WHEN REFERRING TO JESUS IS RENDERED AS “LORD” & WHEN REFERRED TO FATHER IT IS RENDERED AS “JEHOVAH.”

THE ELDER WAS A SERVANT TO GOD & JOHN GAVE HIM THAT RESPECT & HE CALLED HIM LORD. HE DIDN’T WORSHIP HIM – JUST RESPECTED HIS “AUTHORITY.”

So just because someone is called "lord" this does not make him Jehovah.

WE NEVER SAY THAT IT DOES, ALL WE SAY IS – THAT THIS WORD SHOULD BE RENDERED IN “EVERY” OCCASION THE SAME WAY & NOT CHANGED AS WE PLEASE.

Acts 2:36 helps us to understand Philippians 2:11, where Paul said: "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for a certainty that God made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom YOU impaled."
 

Here we see that God Jehovah MADE Jesus BOTH Lord and Christ. One who is "made" Lord clearly is NOT Jehovah. For Jehovah clearly cannot be made Lord, he Is Lord. [SO IS JESUS]. Philippians 2:11 says: "and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." Yes it is to the glory of God the Father, Jehovah, the very God and Father of Jesus (Micah 5:4 compare John 20:17 More on this under the Scriptural Proofs That The Trinity is Not Biblical section) that True Christians recognize this newly bestowed position, or name that was given Jesus Christ as Lord!
