"But all these operations the one and the same spirit performs, making a distribution to each one respectively just as it wills." AS THIS VERSE APPEARS IN NIV.

"ALL THESE ARE THE WORK OF ONE SPIRIT, AND HE GIVES THEM TO  EACH ONE, JUST AS HE DETERMINES."

Some here say that because the holy spirit "wills" it is a person. That is, because something "wills" something, it is a person, because only a "person" can "will" something. Does this scripture provide evidence of such a thought? Let us see.

TO WILL – THE MENTAL FACULTY BY WHICH ONE DELIBERATELY CHOOSES OR DECIDES UPON A COURSE OF ACTION. A DISPOSITION TO EXERCISE  THIS FACULTY;  DETERMINATION. THAT WHICH IS DESIRED OR DECIDE UPON. PEOPLE  HAVE THE ABILITY TO CHOSE BETWEEN RIGHT AND WRONG, MAKE DECISIONS  EFFECTING THEIR  FUTURE.

ANIMALS ARE DRIVEN BY INSTINCT, WHERE PEOPLE USE THEIR WILLS TO DETERMINE  THEIR FUTURE. IF WE LOOK AT THIS DEFINITION THEN ONE WHO HAS  A ‘WILL’ HAS THE INDEPENDENT RIGHT TO USE IT AS THEY WISH. DOESN’T  SOUND LIKE A RADAR BEAM TO ME.

THIS PASSAGE TELLS US THAT "HOLY SPIRIT" DETERMINES WHICH "GIFT" OF THE  SPIRIT WILL BE GIVEN TO EACH PERSON.  THAT COULD BE A GIFT OF TEACHING, PROPHECY ETC.

THIS IS THE IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER. THE WORD "WILL" IN NWT REFERS  TO "WHAT" HOLY SPIRIT "DETERMINES" FOR EACH PERSON IN REFERENCE TO "GIFT/S" THAT HE/SHE WILL HAVE. AND NOT IN SENSE OF HOLY SPIRIT  MAKING A LAST WILL OF TESTAMENT.

HOLY SPIRIT "DETERMINES" WHO WILL DO WHAT & IN WHICH WAY. YOU MAY BE GOOD IN TEACHING" SOMEONE ELSE IS GOOD IN "WISDOM" ETC. ALL OF THESE  "GIFTS" ARE "DETERMINED" BY HOLY SPIRIT & HE GIVES THEM ACCORDING TO HIS  "CHOICE / WILL" & NOT ACCORDING TO ANYONE ELSE. ALSO WE  "MUST" REMEMBER  THAT ALL THREE PERSONS OF THE GODHEAD WORK AS ONE UNIT &  NOT INDEPENDENT  OF EACH OTHER. SO WHEN I SAY HOLY SPIRIT DETERMINES WHAT YOU OR I DO, IN  EFFECT IT IS WHAT ALL THREE "DETERMINE" WHAT WILL BE OUR DESTINY IN GOD’S OVER ALL PLAN. WE HAVE TO LISTEN TO WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS  TELLING US TO DO AND THEN IT IS UP TO US IF WE CHOOSE TO  LISTEN TO HIM  OR NOT.

The Greek work here translated "wills" is "bouletai." It is the 3 person singular present indicative middle verb form of the word "boulomai." This word means "will, counsel, purpose." (Thayer's Greek Lexicon pg. 105) Thus, as the argument goes, because the spirit  "wills, counsels or purposes,"  it is a person. Is this a proper conclusion to reach? [SURE IS! AS I  MENTIONED ABOVE – AN ANIMAL CAN NOT DO THAT]. Well, we are going to do what this page is   internationally known to do, we are going to let the Bible interpret itself! Let us simply look at other uses of this term to arrive at a proper understanding.

Our first scripture is found at Ephesians 1:11 which reads:

 "In union with whom we were also assigned as heirs, in that we were  foreordained according to the purpose of him who operates all things according to the way his will counsels."

 AS NIV RENDERS THE VERSE: WE WILL START AT VERSE 10

" TO BE PUT INTO EFFECT WHEN THE TIMES WILL HAVE REACHED  THEIR  FULFILMENT – TO "BRING ALL THINGS" IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH  "TOGETHER  UNDER ONE HEAD," EVEN CHRIST.

11 IN HIM WE WERE ALSO CHOSEN, HAVING  BEEN PREDESTINED ACCORDING TO THE PLAN OF HIM WHO WORKS OUT EVERYTHING IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PURPOSE OF HIS WILL

12 IN ORDER  THAT WE, WHO WERE THE FIRST TO HOPE IN CHRIST, MIGHT BE FOR THE PRAISE OF  HIS GLORY.

13 AND YOU ALSO WERE INCLUDED IN CHRIST WHEN YOU HEARD  THE WORD OF  TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION. HAVING BELIEVED, YOU WERE MARKED IN HIM WITH SEAL, THE SEAL THE PROMISED HOLY SPIRIT.

14  WHO IS A DEPOSIT GUARANTEEING OUR INHERITANCE UNTIL THE REDEMPTION OF THOSE WHO ARE GOD’S POSSESSION – TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY."

The Greek word translated "will" is "thelematos." It is a form of the word "thelo" which means "will, inclination, purpose." (The Analytical Greek Lexicon Revised 1978 Edition pg. 192) The Greek word translated "counsel" is "boulen," a form of the word "boule."

So here we see an interesting thought presents itself. Namely that *IF* [WE SHOULD & NOT *IF* ABOUT ANYTHING] we understand 1 Corinthians 12:11 to mean conclusively, that because something "wills" something, it is a
person, then according to Paul's words at Ephesians 1:11, the Father's "will" is also a person, because it has it's own will as well! [YES,  FATHER IS A PERSON. WE USE THE WORD PERSON, BUT IT IS NOT MEANT THAT GOD HAS ARMS AND LEGS LIKE WE DO. OBVIOUSLY GOD IS SPIRIT.] Notice Paul's words: "....who operates all things according to the way HIS WILL COUNSELS (or WILLS) Yes here we see that it is the Father's WILL that literally counsels or wills 'boule.' SO WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, THAT THE FATHER IS "NOT" A PERSON? CURIOUS IDEA!

AS I UNDERSTAND IT -  A PERSON IS A LIVING HUMAN BEING THAT IS  DISTINGUISHED FROM AN ANIMAL OR THING. BUT WHEN WE REFER TO THE SEPARATE  INDIVIDUALS OF THE GOD HEAD   - THE FATHER, THE SON AND THE HOLY SPIRIT,  WE USE THE WORD PERSON TO SHOW THE INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS.  LIKE HUSBAND & WIFE - THEY ARE TWO PEOPLE - YET IN THE EYES OF GOD THEY ARE CLASSED AS "ONE UNITE."  TWO PERSONS YET ONE UNIT!

Another scripture we will look at is found at Acts 4:28 which reads:

"In order to do what things your hand and counsel had  foreordained to occur."

Here again we see the use of the word "counsel" or "boule" being used. And again we see that God's" will," or "counsel" or preordained" events to occur. The Greek word  translated "foreordained" is "proorioen" a form of the word "proorizo," which means to "mark out before hand, foreordain, predestinate." (Vine's Greek Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words pg. 307) Thus again  we see evidence of the Father's "will" doing something on it's own, namely foreordaining things!

THIS IS WHAT "WILL" DOES. IT PREDETERMINES WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN FUTURE TIME.

LETS LOOK AT THIS PASSAGE WITH FEW VERSES AROUND IT STARING AT THE VERSE 27 FROM NIV:

"INDEED HEROD AND PONTIUS PILOT MET TOGETHER WITH THE GENTILES AND THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL IN THIS CITY TO CONSPIRE AGAINST YOUR HOLY SERVANT JESUS, WHOM YOU ANOINTED. 28 THEY DID WHAT YOUR POWER AND WILL HAD DECIDED BEFOREHAND SHOULD HAPPEN. 29 NOW, LORD, CONSIDER THEIR THREATS AND ENABLE YOUR SERVANTS TO SEEK YOUR WORD WITH GREAT BOLDNESS."

PLEASE NOTE WHAT THE AUTHOR HAS SAID -"YOUR POWER & WILL"

So then, from the above usage's of "boule" found in scripture, we are FORCED [WE ARE NOT ‘FORCED’ TO DO THING – BUT TO  "UNDERSTAND" WHAT IT MEANT BY CERTAIN WORDS] to conclude that if we understand Paul's words at 1 Corinthians 12:11 the way trinitarians wish us to understand that passage, then the Father's will has his own will, {IT SURE DOES}and it thus a person, (because a thing according to the Trinitarian argument can't will something) and therefore, we now have a FOURTH person in the Trinity! NOW WE ARE MAKING UP SOMETHING THAT ISN'T THERE!!

DEAR READERS – IN 1 CORINTHIANS – IT IS THE "WILL / DETERMINING FACT" OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. ALL OTHER PASSAGES THE AUTHOR USES THE "WILL" OF THE FATHER. THESE ARE TWO DIFFERENT PERSONS & THUS MUST BE  CONSIDERED AS  SUCH. JUST AS I HAVE A WILL – SO DO YOU. THIS DOES NOT MAKE US  ONE HUMAN BEING, BUT TWO SEPARATE IDENTITIES WITH TWO SEPARATE WILLS & WE ACT ACCORDINGLY.

Is this the case? NO! For Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:11 simply personifies the holy spirit, as is done to other "things" in the Bible in order to make a specific point. See Acts 5:4; 13:2.

WE CAN LOOK AT GODS WORD THE WAY THAT HE WANTS US TO DO IT OR WE CAN DO IT OUR OWN WAY. GOD DOES NOT FORCE US TO DO ANYTHING AGAINST OUR OWN WILL, WE CAN FOLLOW THE WAYS OF MEN OR THE WAY OF HIM. THE CHOICE IS YOURS. AS HOLY SPIRIT LEADS US TO ALL THE TRUTH - JUST AS JESUS SAID IN JOHN 16:13- WE CAN EITHER BELIEVE JESUS OR & HAVE HIS TRUTH SET US FREE {JOHN 8:32} OR WE CAN FOLLOW BLIND MEN {MATTHEW 15:14} WHO DENY THE WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT.ONE WOULD THINK THAT JESUS WOULD KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT! WHO DO YOU BELIEVE JESUS OR BLIND GUIDES ?? THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!

So then, rather than an introduction to a fourth person of the Godhead,

{WHO SID THAT THERE IS A 4TH PERSON OF THE GOD HEAD?? NOT GODS WORD!! NOT AT ALL FOLKS: "HOLY SPRIT" IS THE "THIRD" PERSON OF THE  "GODHEAD" &  NOT FOURTH}.

Paul's words at 1 Corinthians 12:11 help us see the importance of God's holy spirit as it works in different ways among his people today,

[NOW THE ‘HOLY SPIRIT" WORKS – WHERE BEFORE IT WAS  AN IT.  THIS CONTINUAL CHANGE OF MIND IS MIND BOGGLING. I WONDER  WHY? DEFINITELY NOT FORM GOD - AS GOD DOES NOT CHANGE HIS MIND LIKE THAT]and NOT that the personified use of the holy spirit makes the holy spirit a person. NOW IT IS NOTHING, WOW.

Yes the whole of the scriptures are clear and plain when they proclaim that it is to mankind's benefit that God the Father directs his holy spirit to accomplish HIS will as HE sees fit! We look forward to the day when the earth will reap the full benefits of god's spirit in action when it is transformed into a beautiful paradise earth! Psalms 37:10,11,29; Revelation 21:1-4

THE HOLY  SPIRIT IS WELL & TRULY ACTIVE "NOW" DEAR READERS. THE ONLY QUESTION IS –  DO YOU WANT HIM TO BE IN YOUR LIFE? ALSO JESUS SAID THAT HE WOULD BE WITH US ALL - AGAIN I ASK "YOU" WHO DO YOU BELIEVE "JESUS" OR BLIND GUIDES??

THE 1 CORINTHIANS PASSAGE CLEARLY STATES THAT "HOLY SPIRIT" IS USING "HIS" WILL & NOT FATHER'S. ALL THREE PERSONS WORK AS "ONE" UNIT FOR SAME PURPOSE & THAT IS TO BRING US TO GOD’S HEAVENLY KINGDOM. WE  WILL ALL BE  CHANGED IN TO SPIRITUAL BEINGS & BE WITH CHRIST IN THE  CLOUDS & NOT ON  EARTH. 1 THESSALONIANS 4: 16-17 & REV. 19:1.

LET’S LOOK AT ACTS 2: 1– 4 "WHEN THE DAY OF PENTECOST CAME THEY WERE ALL TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE.  2 SUDDENLY A SOUND LIKE THE   BLOWING OF A WIND CAME FROM HEAVEN AND FILLED"  THE "WHOLE HOUSE" WHERE  THEY WERE  SITTING. 3 THEY SAW WHAT SEEMED TO BE "TONGUES OF FIRE"  THAT SEPARATED THEM AND CAME TO REST ON EACH OF THEM.  4 "ALL OF THEM"  WERE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND BEGAN SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES AS THE "SPIRIT  ENABLED" THEM."

DEAR READERS PLEASE NOTE THAT "HOLY SPIRIT" CAME LIKE "TONGUES OF FIRE" JUST AS JOHN THE BAPTIST SAID IT WOULD HAPPEN (Matthew 3:11).

From verses 16 to 28 Peter tells all present what prophet Joel has foreseen & it had come true on that day (Joel 2:28 – 32).  From verse 38 Peter tells EVERYONE – TO "REPENT & BE BAPTIZED, "EVERY ONE OF YOU," IN  THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR FORGIVENESS OF "YOUR" SINS. AND  "YOU WILL RECEIVE" THE GIFT OF THE "HOLY SPIRIT." 39 THE PROMISE IS FOR  "YOU  & FOR YOUR CHILDREN" & FOR "ALL" WHO ARE FAR OFF – "FOR ALL"  WHOM THE  LORD GOD WILL CALL."

PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS "FOR ALL" & NOT JUST FOR "SELECT FEW" ALSO LOOK AT THE VERSE 41 IT TELLS US THAT SOME 3000 PEOPLE WHO "ACCEPTED" PETERS MESSAGE WERE BAPTIZED  & WERE "ADDED" TO THE NUMBER THAT  DAY.
