I'm an Australian fantasy author whose Shadow Through Time trilogy (with Simon & Schuster Australia) is building an exciting word-of-mouth following. Destiny of The Light,  Daughter of The Dark  (Prologue and Chapter One on the EXCERPTS  page) and Glimmer in the Maelstrom are set across four elemental worlds which move at different times (one of the worlds is ours!) with characters who are delicious, infuriating, lost, alluring, and some are downright evil.  Click onto one the links to read more...

Okay, that last one doesn't qualify me for teaching writing, but it does make a great anecdote at author talks!

My current work-in-progress is The Modern Fairy Tales Suite, based around familiar children's fables, but with a very adult spin.  The first novel, Wicked Little Mermaid, is the tale of a one-track-minded mermaid who becomes human to experience passion. Hilarious misadventure, lashing of erotica, and those delicious supernatural elements we all adore have made this story a joy to write, and hopefully a real adventure to read.

My Diary is a slice of the writer's life where I will keep you updated with progress on the new series I'm working on,  as well as all the emotional ups and downs that come with the job.  My Writing Tips page has advice on how to plan, write and polish your own novel, and I've added a page, Advanced Tips for those who are a little further along in their writing.  The Getting Published page is for those who have finished a manuscript but are unsure how to present it to a publisher.  And for those who would like to see me in person, check out the Appearances page, or you can work with me to get your writing closer to publication standard - more info on my Working With Louise webpage.
