Ali'i nui KAMEHAMEHANUI AI'LUAU 1736/1765 or 1772/1773, Ali'i nui of Lanai and Molokai, married (a) (his step-sister), Ali'i nui Namahana'i'Kaleleokalani, daughter of Ali'i nui Kekaulike, 23rd Ali'i nui of Maui, and his wife, Ali'i nui Ha'alo'u, married (b) (his full-sister), Ali'i nui Kalola Pupuka-o-Honokawailani, married (c), Ali'i Kekumano, and had issue. He died 1765.
    • Ali'i Kalanihelemai'iluna Paki (by Kekumano), married (a), Ali'i Kawao [aka? Kaho'oheiheipahu], married (b), Ali'i Kapo'oloku, married (c), Ali'i Kealohi'lani'kikaupea'okalani, and had issue. He died in Hilea.

She died sp 16th October 1884 in Honolulu, Oahu.

  17. Mo'i KAEOKULANI 1794, married Ali'i nui Kamakahelei, 22nd Hereditary Queen of Kaua'i 1770/1795, died after 1795, and had issue. He died 1794 in Oahu.

  18. ?Mo'i KOALAUKANE 1794, he supported his father in the island wars, and was the hero of a battle at Paukukalo on Mau'i. He commanded the right wing of his father's forces on Oahu in 1794 but escaped from defeat by Kamehameha I at the battle of Nu'uanu Pali in 1795.

Ali'i nui George Cox Kahekili KE'EAUMOKU II, Governor of Maui 1804/1823, born about 1786, married 1821, Ali'i Grace Kama'iku'i Young, born 8th September 1808 in Kawaihae, died 1866 in Honolulu, daughter of Ali'i John Olohana Young, and his second wife, Ali'i Ka'oana'eha Mele Kuamo'o. He died sp 1823 in Honolulu.

  • Hon. Ali'i ULUMAHEIHEI HOAPILI, Governor of Maui 1836/1840, also Governor of Molokai and Lanai, married (a), Ali'i nui Kalilikauohi, High Chiefess of Kaua'i, daughter of Mo'i Kahekili II (see above), married (b), Hon. Ali'i nui Kalakua Kaheiheimalie (see below), married (c), Ali'i nui Keopuolani, born about 1778, daughter of Mo'i Kiwala'o, 3rd Ali'i of Ka'u, she became the sacred wife of Kamehameha I and held the highest royal rank. After his death, she married his closest companion, Hoapili, who she retained, alone amongst her husbands after she rejected polygamy. She advised Kamehameha II to break the ancient tabu in 1819, and was amongst the first Hawai'ian converts to Christianity, and was baptized by Rev. William Ellis at Lahaina an hour before her death, on 16th September 1823 in Lahaina, and had issue. He died after 1840.

Ali'i nui Kalakua Kaheiheimalie, Governor of Maui 1840/1842, born 1778, she married (a), Ali'i nui Kala'imamahu, High Chief of Kohala, married (b), HM King Kamehameha I of Hawai'i, married (c), Hon. Ali'i Ulumaheihei Hoapili (see above), and had issue. She died 16th January 1842 in Lahaina, Maui.
    • HM Queen Miriam Auhea Kekauluohi (by Kala'imamahu), born about 1794, married 1stly, HM King KAMEHAMEHA II, married 2ndly, Ali'i Charles Kana'ina, and had issue. She died 7th June 1845 in Honolulu.

  • His Excellency Ali'i JAMES YOUNG KANEHOA, Governor of Maui [1842] - [1.10.1851], born 7th August 1797 in Kawaihae, son of Ali'i John Olohana Young, and his first wife, Ali'i Namokuelua; married 1stly, Sarah Kaniaulono Davis, daughter of Isaac Davis, Governor of Oahu, and his first wife, Nakai Nalima'alualu, married 2ndly, Ha'ale, married 3rdly, Hikoni Kalele/Kahele, died 1885. He died 1st October 1851 in Honolulu and was buried in the Royal Mausoleum.
    • Jane Lahilahi Young (by Ha'ale), married Ali'i Nu'uanu, and had issue.

  • His Excellency PAUL NAHAOLELUA, Governor of Maui [3.12.1852] - [3.2.1874], born 1806 in Kawaihae, South Kohala, educated at Lahainaluna Seminary. He was a schoolmaster at the Royal School in Kaupo, Maui. He was also District Magistrate and Circuit Judge of Maui, as well as the Royal Postmaster under King Kamehameha. He served as deputy to the governor, James Young Kanehoa, and succeeded him in 1852, serving as Governor of Maui until 3rd February 1874. He was appointed Minister of Finance, and served from 17th February 1874 until his retirement on 31st October 1874 due to poor health. He married Helekunihi, died 30th November 1888, and had issue, as well as an adopted son. He died 15th September 1875 in Lahaina, Maui, Hawai'i.
    • Obed Nahaolelua, died shortly after birth on 20th March 1858. 
    • (A) Edward George Huakini [Kia] Nahaolelua, born 1852, son of Helekunihi's brother, Aki and his wife, Ka'aiohelo, married 10th August 1870, Elizabeth Kahele Manawa-ola St. John, Lady-in-waiting to HM Queen Liliuokalani, died 1909, and had issue, nine children. He died 1901.
      • John Kia Nahaolelua, head of the Iolani Palace grounds police; married and had issue. He died 1st April 1927
        • Mary Nahaolelua, born 1901 in Honolulu; married Melvin Raynor Holt.
        • Henry Kia Kanekawaiola Nahaolelua, born 20th July 1903 in Honolulu, married Len Ing (Nahaolelua), and had issue, four daughters. He died 1st April 1940.

  • His Excellency WILLIAM LUTHER KEALI'I MOEHONUA, Governor of Maui [23.2.1874] - [8.9.1878], born 5th May 1824, he served as Minister of the Interior [31.10.1874] - [5.12.1876], married 1stly, 1849, Ka'unuohua, married 2ndly, Lucy Muolo, died 1865, married 3rdly, Kapeka Kahele. He died sp 8th September 1878.

  • His Excellency JOHN OWEN DOMINIS, Governor of Maui [9.9.1878] - [1886], Governor of Oahu [18.2.1864] - [4.10.1886]  and [26.7.1887] - [23.8.1888] (see Oahu).

  • His Excellency ROBERT HOAPILI BAKER, Governor of Maui [4.10.1886] - [1888], born 1847/1850, son of Adam Baker [Ikekela'a'iku], and his wife, Malie Kaikilani Napu'upahoehoe, daughter of Pupuhi, a Tahitian Missionary, and his wife, Milia, married 1871 in Honolulu, Emma Kamakanoanoa Merseberg, born 14th December 1856, died 8th July 1913, and had issue. He died 4th April 1913.
    • Robert Hoapili Baker Jr., born 15th July 1873, married 1898 in Honolulu, Elizabeth Komoikai'ehuehu, born 1st June 1871, died 6th March 1951, daughter of John Komoike'ehuehu, and his wife, Mariah Kapuahi, and had issue. He died 18th October 1935.
      • Robert Hoapili Baker III, 16th November 1900, married 27th August 1919 in Hilo, Bernicia Kailiponi Lane, born 27th June 1898, died 22nd May 1941, daughter of Lot Lonoikaua Kamehameha Carey Lane, and his wife, Elizabeth Lokai Kaohele, and had issue. He died 11th August 1986.
        • Robert Hoapili Baker IV, born 17th July 1920, married 1stly, Irma Ami-Wahineaea Hulu, born 17th November 1923, died 19th September 1958, daughter of Moreno K. Hulu, and his wife, Tema K. Apana, married 2ndly, Hilda Kuuleialoha Keouli, born 24th May 1926, died 11th February 1980, daughter of Joseph Namamoku Keouli, and his wife, Mui Lan Kam. He died 12th May 1979.
        • Elizabeth Lokai Baker, born 18th October 1921 in Hilo, died 9th September 1998.
      • Elizabeth Kahalewehi Baker, born 23rd February 1908 in Honolulu, died 8th May 1962.

  • His Excellency THOMAS WRIGHT EVERETT, Governor of Maui [17.5.1892] - [1893], born 4th November 1823 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, son of Thomas Everett, and his wife, Nancy Williams Wright; married 8th February 1860 in Lahaina, Ellen Richardson, died 1st December 1890 in Waikapu, daughter of George Richardson. He died 4th September 1895 in Waikapu, Maui, Hawaii.
