  1. Ali'i nui UMI-O-KA-LANI [Kanaloa-uo'o], 1st Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala, son of Moi KEAWE-NUI-a-UMI of Hawai'i Island, by his 4th wife, Ali'i nui Ho'opili-a-Hae; married 3rdly, Ali'i nui Ho'ola'a-i-ka-iwi, and had issue.

  2. Ali'i nui MAHI-OLOLI, 2nd Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala, married Ali'i nui Umi-iwi-ula, and had issue.

  3. Ali'i nui KA-UAUA-NUI-a-MAHIOLOLI, 3rd Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala, married several wives, the highest ranking of whom was the sacred Ali'i nui Kalani-kau-lele-ia-iwi of Hawai'i Island, (sister of Moi Keawe), with whom he had issue.

  4. Moi ALAPA'I-NUI-A-KAUAUA, 4th Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala, 2nd Ali'i of Kona, Moi of Hawai'i Island, married 1stly, Ali'i nui Keaka-kauhiwa, married 2ndly Ali'i nui Kamaka'imoku, and had issue. He died 1751.

    • Ali'i nui Manona (by 2nd wife), married Ali'i nui Keoua Kalanikupuapa'ikalaninui, died 1767, High Chief of Kohala, and had issue (see Hawai'i Island).

  5. Ali'i nui KEAWE-OPALA, 5th Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala 1751/1752, 3rd Ali'i of Kona 1751/1752, Moi of Hawai'i Island, married Ali'i nui Moana-a-Ka'uhi, and had issue. He died 1752.
    • Ali'i nui KANA'INA-NUI, married Ali'i nui Kalani-ku-ka'ula-la'a, and had issue. He died 14th February 1779.
      • Ali'i nui KI'I-LAWE-AU, married Ali'i nui Inaina, and had issue.
        • His Excellency Ali'i nui Mataio Kekuanao'a, born about 1791, Governor of Oahu 1834/1868, married 1stly, Ali'i nui Pauahi-nui, married secondly, Ali'i nui Kinau, a granddaughter of the King Kamehameha I of Hawaii, and had issue, a daughter by the 1st wife and 5 children by the second wife, including Kings Kamehameha IV and Kamehameha V of Hawaii.

      • Ali'i nui Ha'o, he married Ali'i nui Ka'ilipakalua, and had issue.
        • Ali'i nui Kahailiopua Luahine, born 1790, married Ali'i Pauli Ka'oleioku, born about 1777, died 19th February 1818, son of HM King Kamehameha I of Hawai'i, and had issue. She died 1873.

  6. Moi KALANIOPU'U-A-KAIAMAMAO, 6th Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala (1752) 1754/1782, 4th Ali'i of Kona 1754/1782, 2nd Ali'i of Ka'u 1754/1782, Moi of South Hawaii 1778/1781 or 1754/1772. He died April 1782.

  7. Moi KIWALA'O, 7th Ali'i-ai-moku of Kohala [xx.4.1782] - [xx.7.1782], Mo'i of Hawai'i Island 1781/1782, 3rd Ali'i of Ka'u [xx.4.1782] - [xx.7.1782], after his father's death, he received the greater part of his lands and the title to his throne, but Kamehameha was entrusted with the war god, Kukailimoku. Kiwala'o fought against the growing power of Kamehmeha and was joined by his step-brother, Keoua Kuahu'ula. Kiwala'o was killed in July 1782 at Ke'ei, Hawai'i, in battle against Kamehameha.
