committed sati).
He died 1787 aged 49.

- Raja SARFOJI RAO BHONSLE II 1787/1793 and 1798/1832, born
1773, adopted
son of Raja Tuljaji Rao Bhonsle, married 2 wives and 24 concubines, and
had issue. He
died 7th March 1832.
- Raja SHIVAJI RAO BHONSLE (qv)
- Raja SHIVAJI RAO BHONSLE 1832/1855, married twenty
wives,
including
(a) Rani Jeejamba Bai and (b) Rani Kumaramba Bai (both living February
1909), but only fathered two daughters, as well as 6 natural sons. He
was
followed as Raja of Tanjore by an adopted son, who is ancestor of the
later
Raja's of Tanjore, though the state lapsed to the East India Company,
however
private property was dispersed to the rightful heirs. He died 30th
October
1855.
