Raja BHANU PRATAP SINGHborn 18th May 1950, married Rani Kumkum Singh of Khapradih Taluq, and has issue, two sons and one daughter.

PREDECESSORS and SHORT HISTORY:  Founder of the family was Rao Deoridh Rai, the eighth son of Raja Rudra Shah of Deogarh or Dharanagar in Gwalior. He is said to have come to this pargana in about the 14th century. A Large square stone is held in great reverence and is said to be the title deed of the family, brought from Delhi by their ancestors, who entered the services of the kings of Delhi and held important posts under them.   • Rao DEORIDH RAI, a native of Dharanagar in Gwalior, came to Delhi in the services of the Emperor of Delhi. Taking advantage of his brother's employment under the Kurmi proprietor of Mahona, he, in concert with the former, expelled the latter out of his possessions. He also reduced the fort of Ding. Assumed the title of Raja which became hereditary within the family. He married and had issue, three sons.

  • Raja NIRHEY SINGH, a great hunter and athlete he let his affairs fall into disorder. His brother Bahadur Singh professed to look after the estate, but the revenue fell into arrears and the Subedar Diler Khan came against him, and in the fight that ensued, both the Raja and his brother were killed. He married and had issue.

  • Raja MADARI SINGH, attended the emperor's court and was granted a khillat and recovered his fathers estate. But he is said to have been a man of lawless habits and most inordinate pride, as a result Rai Surat of the second or the Haveli branch was elected as Raja.

  • Raja JAGMOHAN SINGH -/1881, was confirmed with the title of Raja as a hereditary distinction in 1877, died sp 1881.
  • Raja INDRA BIKRAM SINGH 1881/1921, born 24th November 1864 (#1), educated at Canning College, Lucknow; installed in 2nd January 1886 upon attaining his majority, married the daughter of the Raja of Surajpur (#2). He died sp 1921. see Note #3   
  • Raja BHAGWAN BAKHSH SINGH (cousin) 1921/1926, died August 1926.
  • Raja RAMPAL SINGH (brother) 1926/1939, born 21st July 1879, died 12/13th November 1939. 
  • Raja SURENDRA BIKRAM SINGH 1939/1949, adopted son of Raja Indra Bikram Singh, married 1stly, Rani Mahendra Kumari of Orchha - Tikamgarh Estate, married 2ndly, Rani Brijendra Kunwar of Thikana Semlia in Sailana. After his death, there were many claimants and after litigation the Judiciary transferred the estate to his widow, Rani Brijendra Kunwar, as the outright owner and the estate was released to her by the Court of Wards.

Being childless he had adopted Lal Surendra Vikram Singh with the appropriate pomp and celebration, but as there had not been a legal deed of adoption, upon his death litigation ensued between Lal Surendra Vikram Singh and the cousins of the late Raja, namely, Bhagwan Bakhsh Singh and Rampal Singh regarding the transfer of the estate. A compromise was arrived at on 13th September 1923, wherein the two cousins would hold the estate in turn for their lifetime only, after which it would revert to Lal Surendra Vikram Singh.
