The biggest Taluqdari in Oudh, founded by Kunwar Balram Das in about
1600,
younger
son of Raja Madho Singh, the Raja of Ikauna, and after whom the state
was named.

He died sp 1964 and was succeeded by his adoptive son from Gangwal.
