Benefits of Membership

Modern Jive teachers receive automatic membership at an Affiliate level after successful completion of an International Academy of Modern Jive teacher training course. The IAMJ and Australian Dancing Society membership at an Associate or Licentiate level is attained after successful completion of the respective professional exams.

Recognised Professional Teaching Qualification

• The IAMJ's Teacher Training Program is endorsed and accredited by professional dance teachers’ associations, the Australian Dancing Society (ADS) and in the United Kingdom the United Kingdom Alliance for Professional Teachers’ of Dancing (UKA)
  
  
• The IAMJ is aligned with the ADS and so the Modern Jive professional teaching qualifications with the International Academy of Modern Jive share the equivalent teaching qualifications with the Australian Dancing Society. As such a member is entitled to use the appropriate initials after their name e.g ADS Lic. LA and is issued with a Teachers Diploma in Modern Jive.
  
  
• The sole avenue for pursuing a professional Modern Jive teaching qualification/career in Australia.
  
  
• The IAMJ is aligned with the Le Roc Federation in the United Kingdom. Thus, the IAMJ’s members benefit from full reciprocal recognition of their professional qualifications with the Le Roc Federation/the UKA in the United Kingdom.
  
  
• The IAMJ’s Modern Jive Teacher Training Program is also conducted by qualified and experienced professionals in the United Kingdom and is recognised as a preparatory course for the UKA’s professional teaching qualification in Modern Jive
  
  
• Use of the IAMJ’s logo and gain an edge over non-qualified competitors.

• The IAMJ’s international status enables Australian Modern Jive teachers the opportunity to share their professional development with their UK counterparts e.g. new moves videos.
