The Modern Jive Teacher Training Program
The Modern Jive Teacher Training Program organised and run by The International Academy of Modern Jive is still the very first of its kind. Established in May 1997 in England by Patrice Calleja and Chris Chainey, professional dance teachers and aspiring dance teachers from very diverse backgrounds have travelled from all parts of the UK to train under their expert guidance. Already recognised and endorsed by the United Kingdom Alliance for Professional Teachers of Dance (UKA) in 1997, this international and highly acclaimed Modern Jive Teacher Training Program was professionally recognised and endorsed by the Australian Dancing Society (ADS) in October 2000.
The Modern Jive Teacher Training Program consists of:
- the Modern Jive Teacher Training Courses
- the Modern Jive Course Pack
- the Modern Jive Cue Cards
- the Modern Jive Teaching Points Booklet
- the Modern Jive Video
The Modern Jive Teacher Training caters to aspiring Modern Jive teachers from varied backgrounds - from experienced, professionally qualified dance teachers who have not previously taught Modern Jive before, to experienced Modern Jive dancers with limited or no formal dance teaching experience. The training covers all syllabus components setting high teaching standards and encouraging the widespread enjoyment of Modern Jive.
