The Modern Jive Teacher Training Course aims:

1. To equip course participants with the teaching skills and working technical knowledge of all beginner Modern Jive moves to enable them to then operate on an independent basis.
2. To develop course participants awareness and appreciation of the nature o fthe dance and the different types of students who wish to learn it.
3. To develop course participants' understanding of the unique nature of a Modern Jive lesson in order for them to give maximum enjoyment and dance satisfaction to their future students.
4. To provide course participants with a sound promotion and marketing foundation on which they can build and develop successful classes.
5. To prepare course participants for the ADS-recognised Modern Jive Teacher Exam (if applicable) to gain professional recognition and status.

The first course, The Modern Jive Beginner Teacher Training Course, is conducted over 2 days (weekend or weekdays) or equivalent in weekday evenings.

No previous Modern Jive dance experience is needed for the intensive Modern Jive Beginner Teacher Training Course. However, it is strongly recommended that course participants acquaint themselves with and study the written course material prior, in order to gain maximum benefit from the course.

After succesfully completing the Beginner Course, the Program offers teachers free on-going support together with Associate Membership to The International Academy of Modern Jive. Furthermore, teachers are able to develop their Modern Jive teaching skills through in-services and build a video bank of the latest exciting Modern Jive moves by progressing to the Intermedate and Advanced Teacher Training Courses. The Modern Jive Teacher Training Courses are held regularly nationwide and booking is essential.
