Rest in Peace My sympathies to the family & friends of Christopher Bowman, a two-time U.S. figure skating champion, who died on 11th January 2008. Christopher was 40-years-old. Christopher Bowman was one of figure skating's biggest personalities in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Immensely talented, with a gift for performance that few others could match, he won U.S. national titles in 1989 and 1992, and was runner-up in 1987 and 1991. He was also a child actor. Do they ever have a happy ending or drama free life? As an actor he starred on Little House on the Prarie in the episodes ‘The Wedding’ and ‘The Sound of Children’ in the last 1970’s. He also had an appearance on Archie Bunker’s Place. He even performed stunts in the movie The Lost Boys. Brian Boitano said of Christopher, "If I had to pick the three most talented skaters of all time, I would pick Christopher as one." "He had natural charisma, natural athleticism, he could turn on a crowd in a matter of seconds and he always seemed so relaxed about it." |
