Cresta Palace is a 4 star luxury hotel in Celerina, on the sunny side of St Moritz - in fact Celerina is just one train stop away from St Moritz.

The hotel offers Half board including 2 meals, taxes and tips at the following prices. Participants arriving earlier or leaving later pay the same rates for the extra period, i.e. for 1 week. This arrangement is only applicable from Saturday to Saturday.

The prices include ) includes RAIDAG administration, free entry to the ice rink, swimming pool and 1 hour free dancing lesson each day (except Sundays) given by 2 English professional instructors.

We hope that the members from RAIDAG will participate in the various activities organized for their benefit. The application fee of FR 35. per person must be paid to the chief of the group.

For Jan 2007, the cost per week per person half board (breakfast & dinner) was from 1358 to 1750 Swiss francs depending on room situation and comfort. That's about AUS $1,500 (plus airfares or use your Frequent Flyer points!)

Seminar:

The RAIDAG runs an Ice Dance Training Course taught by 2 English instructors. The course runs for two weeks and you can attend either or both weeks. In addition to the course and free access to the skating rink, many activities are envisaged (Dances in the living room, a formal dress evening, a night walk etc…) And of course the ski field of St Moritz is accessible directly from Celerina.

Everybody is expected to come to the ice rink for the morning lesson from 10.20am to 11.20am. and for the dancing from 11.20am to 12.20am (except Sundays). 

Applicants must be amateurs knowing the following dances:
14 Step, Foxtrot, European Waltz, Blues, Kilian and Tango.

Every participant must personally insure against accident with an insurance company.
RAIDAG does not take any responsibility.

Morning Dance Classes (60 minutes)

14step / Rocker Foxtrot / Paso Doble / Samba / Quickstep Tango, Argentine Tango / Tango Romantica / Blues / Starlight, Viennese, Golden, Ravensburger Waltzes / Cha Cha Congelado / Rhumba / Kilian

Special Afternoon Lesson daily 40 minutes

Discover Ice dancing with flowing movements, deepen your skating-edges, and freshen up your technique with:

Dutch Waltz, Rhythm Blues, Willow Waltz, Swing Dance, Fiesta Tango, Ten Fox, Riverside Rhumba, Festival Cha Cha, Polka and many more!

Important: Lessons not cancelled 24 hours before must be paid to the teachers
                 (Except in case of accident).

Private Lessons

 20 minutes private lesson for approximately 25 Swiss francs. (approx. AUS $25.87)

Getting there

You can fly from Brisbane to Zurich via Bangkok and then get a train right in the Airport station to CHUR, then change to St Moritz. Celerina is one stop before St Moritz.

Weather

 

 

 

Heating

In very infrequent circumstances, It might be very cold outside (-20°C) don t forgot it’s winter in the Alps, so get warm clothes (ski suits ok).

But also and hopefully, we have normal winter conditions and have lunch outside wearing usual ice rink clothes.
 

 All buildings are over heated (22-25°C)

Lunch

 You will have only your lunch to think about. However Breakfast and Dinner are tremendous. So a light lunch is welcome (10 to 30 CHF ( = approx. AUS $ 10.35 to $31.05)

Discounts

 Sportswear and articles can be bought 5% cheaper or hired with 10% discount.

Banking

 You also have to think to your personal spending in Swiss francs. There is a cash dispenser and many banks where you can change Australian dollars. Credit cards are accepted everywhere EXCEPTED FOR HOTEL PAYMENT.
