Vetiver Research and Application Awards

Three major Research Awards received from the World Bank, one in 1991 for the pioneering research on the salt tolerance of vetiver grass and one in 1993 for its tolerance to low soil pH and aluminium and manganese toxicities. In 1999 several awards were received from The Vetiver Network for contribution to VGT research and global dissemination.

In January 2000 received the King of Thailand Vetiver Award for research on the application of VS in environmental protection and later elected to the Board of The Vetiver Network.

First prize of the 2003 Healthy Waterways Awards from the Queensland Department of Environment (as consultant to the Esk Shire Council) for outstanding contributions to improving the health of South East Queensland's waterways and catchments.
