BRIDGE TO BRISBANE RUN
7th September 2008
On the 7th September The Compassionate Friends Qld Inc. was fortunate enough
to once again benefit from monies raised through sponsorship in the Bridge to
Brisbane Run.
Bill put many hours of work into this fundraiser again and the committee and
members of The Compassionate Friends would like to extend our grateful thanks
to Bill for once again co-ordinating such a wonderful event.
Three of our committee members ran on the day and they were Bill, Vera and Lyn,
the girls had no chance catching up with Bill (as he is a seasoned runner),
however they did extremely well both time wise and in the sponsorship monies
they raised. Bill did extremely well also . All the effort paid off with the
amount of monies raised in the vicinity of approx $7000.00 at present.
The Flight Centre donated the prize for the person who raised the most sponsorship
money and TCF donated two $100.00 Rebel Sports Vouchers as prizes. We would
like to thank all our sponsors who gave so generously again this year and all
the people who sponsored them and also all the other runners.
