DONATIONS TO CHRISTMAS HAMPER Once again, we are asking our members to be generous & supportive in making good quality donations to our Christmas Hamper raffle. Suitable items are many and varied with some suggestions being-any Christmas type product (such as non-perishable foodlines, decoration, etc.) gift items of all descriptions, toys, gift vouchers, groceries or anything you think may be appropriate. Donations can be brought along to any of our meetings, coffee mornings or to the Drop-in Centre-or should you need a drop off point closer to you, please phone us and we will make arrangements. BOOK REVIEW by Vera Caltabiano, TCF Old "Children of The Dome" by Rosemary Smith, 1999, Pathfinder Publishing of California. This book contains 28 stories of families who have lost precious children and their journeys from the depth of grief and despair to trying to "live" without the children they so love. It is a "must read" book for parents who have experienced tragic bereavement. The underlying message throughout the book is, yes, your life has been transformed forever and it will never be the same. Most have found that in order to survive they have reached out and offered love and support to other bereaved parents. It is in giving that they have been able to cope with their great losses. It is a "must read" and very comforting book, especially for parents in early grief who would rather be with their loved ones, to learn that others feel the same but somehow find the courage to carry on for their children's sake. This book is available for borrowing from our TCF, Qld Library.

USED POSTAGE STAMPS-Please keep sending in those stamps-we are slowly building up our supply. When we reach a kilo in one of the categories we will take them to an agent who buys them. Make sure you leave 2cm around stamp when cutting out.
