Military Service...

I entered the United States Air Force on September 15, 1961, and spent eight weeks of boot camp training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas (outside San Antonio).

My first Military Duty assignment was at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. Located just outside Panama City (in the panhandle of Florida), I served there from November 1961 until April, 1965.

I re-entered the Air Force in August, 1971 and was assigned to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. At that time, the Base was designated H.Q. Military Air Command.
