pH optima of Natuzyme feed enzymes.

The effect of pH on xylanase activity ( 40°C, 30 min reaction time). Trichoderma enzymes work best under acidic conditions. The pH optimum is between 5-6. This pH value can be found, e.g. in the crop of the chicken.

STORAGE STABILITY OF DRY NATUZYME ENZYMES:

DRY ENZYMES ARE CHEMICALLY STABLE FOR UP TO SEVERAL YEARS WHEN KEPT IN A DRY PLACE. WHEN STORED IN CLOSED BAGS, AWAY FROM DIRECT SUNLIGHT, IN A COOL PLACE < 25°C, BIOPROTON PTY LTD GUARANTEES STABILITY FOR 12 MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF DELIVERY.

STABILITY IN PREMIXES AND FEEDS:

Many minerals are deleterious to enzymes when present in high quantities. However, this is true only if enzymes are stored under moist conditions. In premixtures, where the conditions are dry ( less than 10% moisture), Natuzyme enzymes maintain their stability for several months.

In addition to premixes, enzymes are relatively stable during feed storage. The stability has been tested using mash as well as pelleted feeds.

It is important to look at stability of e.g.xylanase in Natuzyme under actual feed processing conditions:

Xylanase in Natuzyme displays a high degree of stability under processing conditions.

Chart clearly shows a relationship between conditioning temperature and retained activity. Also conditioning time and what kind of steam used are important.

Therefore it is important that pelleting temp. is not used in isolation to determine stability of Natuzyme in feed.
