Complexities of collaboration: process management in a theological consortium
A Joint Board of Studies for Theological Education brings together in equal partnership, the University of Auckland and the Auckland consortium of Theological Education, a co-operative venture between five constituent colleges - Methodist, Anglican, Baptist and Catholic (Marist and Institute of Theology) to provide a range of theological education opportunities at under-graduate and post-graduate levels."Success" in this context has many possible configuration, as the diversity of loyalties, obligations, responsibilities and accountabilities are variously worked out.
This paper discusses some of the sources of organisational complexity and investigates ways in which action research and process management might enhance the praxis of collaboration and partnership.
