WHAT IS CONTRACT BRIDGE?

Contract bridge is a card game in which four players in teams of two bid to win a specific number of tricks in a particular denomination (a suit, or no trump). Although played as a home game, it is also widely played at bridge clubs, a form of the game known as duplicate bridge. It is a very competitive game, and tournaments are available almost every weekend, in addition to the normal club sessions. Many cities and towns have a bridge club or clubs - check your yellow pages. Lessons on how to play are usually available. Links to various contract bridge associations are on our links page.
